The correct way to do this would be to start them off even, and give the player that is ahead in money the option to purchase the half shot. Much more interesting decision that way.

Like everyone else, glad to see the Marine gone. What a non playing *******.

Lots of likeable guys left, no clear favorite for me right now.

Want to hear Jonathan's thoughts on Floyd's shot in this show

Such a gross approach shot from Floyd on that second hole.

Not to mention putting from 20 yards off the green uphill.

is Floyd a 40 handicap?

Watching it through right now. The little bit with the marine during the commercials where he goes through each competitor on the show and tells if he thinks they would "make it" in the military or not...is so douchey its beyond belief.

Also Justin is a cocky dumbass who gives Texas a bad rep. He can't make the tour because he absolutely cannot deal with pressure

Don't think Floyd had enough time to mentally recover from the bunker fiasco.

That was tough to watch...Russell was kind of a dick about it, I mean its not like he was sitting on the show with a day off, he had to play his way back on the show too.

Wanted to root for him, but he has made it so hard.

My favorite part of the show was Justin talking about his first chip bouncing into the ball. I can frame by frame DirectV and obviously did so on his shot. They showed a perfect close up of impact and he simply completely bladed it...the club never once touch the ground at all. He is such a bad player and guy it is amazing. I really wish he would have gotten back on the show just for the entertainment.

Said the same to the wife last night...decent-ish action. I can't remember how he got eliminated though. It had to be ugly to get knocked off that early though.

Jon's thoughts would be that Jr. could compete more. Seriously though, Robert had to sign up for this...he had to know what was coming. I just don't get it.

I want to root for him also since my brother in law is military, but he just makes it impossible to pull for him.

I don't get why Justin was trying to make the case of his club bouncing off the ground. If you blade it or bounce one up there it's still a terrible shot. Hit the ball first, bro.

I was looking at the web page for the course this is being played at to check out the hole routing and there was a link to player bios for the show. Poor Robert Floyd is listed as "the most experienced", having played in 30+ PGA tour events or something like that. Unfortunately people who only know him from this show will think he is a 24 handicap. If Ian Baker-Finch watches this he'll probably have 'nam-like flashbacks. Absolutely brutal. And he seems like a nice enough guy.

Agree with all the Russell hate. Don't recall him from what little I've seen of the season so far but what an assclown. Everything is just over the top obnoxious.

Also in the bios, I noticed that Robbie lives at his driving range guy is the brother of Tommy Biershenk. I met Tommy at the US Junior at Lake Merced in 1990, he was paired during qualifying with a good friend I traveled with to the event. So I walked around with Tommy's mother and we talked for a couple of days (total MILF iirc). I think Robbie may have been there too but if so he is several years younger than his brother. Both Tommy and my friend qualified, my friend eventually losing to Notah Begay and Biershenk lost after a round or two as well. Fast forward like 15 years and I saw him at a Nationwide event out here, he comes off a green smoking a cig and I tried to chat him up for old times sake, it's pretty clear he was playing like ass and in no mood to chat. The years on tour obviously took their toll too, he looked fairly ragged.

I couldn't believe he has gotten that many sponsors exemptions based solely on who his dad is...I went to his player page and he has played 23 PGA Tour events making 2 cuts and 36 Nationwide events making 17 cuts with one top 10. How does he keep getting invites!?!?!?!?!?!?!

wow, i cant believe he has played in 23 PGA tour events. thats absurd. Who the **** cares if your Ray Floyd's son? The dude is obv not that good, obv crumbles under any type of pressure whatsoever. It's guys like this that end up taking someone's position in the tournament that actually could have made a decent amount of money for his family/career. What a joke

I get the feeling that he has played almost no golf over the last couple years, and this opportunity was literally his "last shot" and something that presented itself to him rather quickly.

His mentioning that "it was the only way to hit the fairway" when he hit that low poke dead left was kind of a giveaway. I mean it wasnt just that he performed terrible, he had no confidence in himself or his golf game. He is like the anti-Justin. Justin will still tell you he is the best player on the show, and robert would tell you he is by far the worst...yet they both sucked when it mattered most.

Pretty sure they had a segment on him saying he used to be a lot better but then drank and partied too much and his game deteriorated a lot
