was looking at a foreign golf magazine and saw some great golf tips from villegas. i think it was reprinted from one of the big 2 american golf magazines, as i'd seen much of it recently.
anyway, villegas recommends plumb-bobbing all your shots. basically hang the club down and line up the target and the ball with eyes. find a target on the ground say up to a foot out towards the target and then line up to it.......... tried it at range and worked like an absolute charm...... plus an extremely elite golfer i know says pre-shot routine is absolutely essential.
won't start another thread...... but one other great tip. back of hand faces target at impact (villegas, and maybe tiger are all over this one)
also, mickelson short game book is awesome. completely simplifies things..
i'll try to find internet link to villegas tips.

The alignment tip is so critical. There are so many people who hit bad shots not because of a bad swing but because of being misaligned.
As for the hand tip, its a good tip but I think it is important to feel HOW you get to that point at impact. A lot of people know their hand should be in the same place but can't actually get it back there on the downswing.

I've used this kind of alignment tip for a long time. I find my target, like a tree, house etc and then trace a line all the way back. I find a leaf or tee marker or something about 5-10 yds in front of me then line up my target line and feet accordingly.
