Old guys tho. Elevation may be in their favor though, not sure.

This course used to be a regular PGA stop until around ten years ago or so. Not sure what the winning scores looked like back then.

Quad on 13 ended the dream quick lol

Went birdie eagle after that and finished -7 with a quad. That has to be some kind of all time low score with a quad on the card.

what was minus 7? 64?

i think i shot a 42 or 43 with a 10 (par 4) on one hole.

i think it was the only time i'd ever played with 2 significant + handicap guys. playing with good players really raises your game. one of the advantages of joining a club i'd think.

Pretty sick round he had.

3 eagles, 6 birdies, 1 quad, 1 bogey and 7 pars.

It really reflects how much harder Stadium Course is than Tour Course. I played them in 2013 and Stadium Course was absolutely sick compared to the standard I was used to.

Kiwi golf Mark Brown shot an 11 under par 59 in the 2nd round to win the Tauranga Open. Finished with an incredible back 9 of 26, seven birdies and an eagle for 9 under par.

And a safe par to finish. Congrats dude - they are saying it might be the world record 9 hole score ever - I'd be surprised if it wasn't!

Last edited by MikkeD; 11-20-2014 at 08:52 PM. Reason: Obv there was a certain Korean who made 9 holes in one in a row I think (or more?), but best after that.

I can think of two other 26's off the top of my head. Corey Pavin in a PGA Tour event and Rhein Gibson when he shot 55 a few years back.

looks like it was in fact a tournament round and it was 6850 yards (with each 9 fairly equal).

a guy who's played together with this guy and graham delaet says this guy hits the ball better. quite something to say as delaet has been described as best longer player on pga tour in last few years (other guys have been described as such too)
