Interesting stats for Charles Howell

Since 2010:

Had made the cut 79% of the time (161/204)
79 Top 25s
36 Top 10s

Talk about a guy due for a victory.

is CH3 the richest non-team athlete that the average sports fan has never heard of?

are canadian golfers diabolically hot/cold? or woud i say the same thing if i was from dallas, texas and following local dallas-based players?..... it seems bizarre. between hadwin, delaet, fritsch and hearn there have been soooo many saturday and sunday collapses in/near the lead...... nick taylor is the excpetion. hasn't really played that well on pga tour the last 3 years except for winning one off-week tourney.

i forgot about mckenzie hughes......... both he and hadwin made some incredible short game shots down the stretch during their recent 1st place and 2nd place showings.

hearn is interesting.......... didn't play well sunday at canadian open and couldn't make short putts at deere when speith won in playoff.

i do wonder if i get too exciting when canadian is doing well thursday or friday...

saturday leaderboard always has players i hadn't noticed before then.. and same with sunday leaderboard.

it is a bit much though at one point fairly late thursday that 3 of the top 4 were canadian and i'm not even sure we snagged one top 35 finish.

I really like this Rahm guy's game. Think he's gonna win quite a few more.

Agreed. A Masters T-10 this year is not out of the question. His agent was his college coach ... Lefty's brother.

I live in Scottsdale and went to ASU...two things to comment on

1) Jon Rahm is legitimately a top 15 player in the world RIGHT NOW he just doesn't have the number of tournaments under his belts to be that high. I can almost put him at a lock for the next Ryder cup cup team for euro's as a captain pick at WORST

2) the weather this week in Scottsdale is absolutely perfect and I predict 165,000 people in attendance on Friday and 210,000 people on Saturday. Crazy numbers about to happen this week.

My friend who is like my go to for golf knowledge went to ASU as well and strongly seconds this. He really likes Jared Du Toit?

Rahm is better but Jared is the real deal too I think, remember last year when he was in contention as an amateur just like Rahm was last year or year before in Scottsdale. Rahm gunna beast this year....like I said I'm fully confident in saying he will be in top 15-20 world ranking by the end of this year and almost a guarantee to be on the next Ryder cup team

lol this par 3 at Scottsdale with all of the skyboxes that surround it - 16,000 people watching you hit your tee shot - is awesome.

Talk about pressure.

Wait until tomorrow and Saturday lol, today and Sunday are the "calm" days!

I'm heading out there tomorrow but only have regular tickets. Couldn't get the hook up this year on the all you can drink booze in those sky boxes. Looking on Craigslist people are asking $1000+ PER TICKET for a skybox seat on 16 lolololol

Steven Bowditch getting an extreme DUI Friday morning before his round is pretty real. Passed out in his car at an intersection at 2 AM. Shooting 73-74 isn't a bad round after all that bull****

Also 169,004 fans were out there yesterday, is that a lot for Friday ha!

I was there and it was a blast. Ended up getting hooked up with a greenskeeper ticket which = free booze so needless to say I didn't watch much golf

LOL. Not in the least. Spieth is right. These guys are scum. Additionally, they shouldn't have been directing f-bombs Spieth's way. Security should've escorted these clowns off the premises and banned them from coming on Pebble Beach property ever again.

He said, "I hate people capitalizing off the success of others."

When will he drop all of his endorsements? Hate to see anyone capitalize on the success of others. Those people pay for tickets too. It's a business, it adds to the popularity of an athlete and a sport.

In this quote, Spieth is obv referring to the adult autograph-hound leaches and nobody else. No need on your part to extrapolate additional meaning from his quote to satisfy your point.

What really got under Spieth's skin was the inappropriate language said leaches were lobbing at him in front of children.

In the big picture, much ado about nothing. Spieth a boss y'day and a boss today when he woke up.

I agree with the behavior and inappropriate language comment, but to label everybody who collects autographs scum is pretty stupid. Way to alienate some of your fan base.
