I've got cash on Rahmbo at 60/1 for the U.S. Open. Placed the bet back in January.

Hmm if you had enough money on it you could take both sides for the free $$$$

I'd put good money down he misses the cut again.

DJ with a birdie free round so far. Incredible.

Welcome to Jack's place, where he spends the weekend in the booth complaining about how far the ball flies these days

He is 100% right. (as usual for Jack) The 40+ extra yards you get from the ball now vs the year 2000 has eliminated arguably the most difficult part of golf which is hitting the green from 200+yds. Seeing pro's hit wedges into a 480yd par 4's all day is a joke.

Hitting a green from 200 yds is not the most difficult part of golf. Also do you know the loft of these guys clubs? It can vary but hell their PW these days is more like an 8 iron. We've already Tiger proofed courses, what more do you want? Rolling back technology is out of the question.

Wow DJ and Rahm forgot to show up this week, pretty shocking to see them both at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Driver

I'm actually having a discussion with a few guys about it at the moment. 60 yard bunker shot in the mix but it's also relative to handicap.

Well, hitting the green from 225 yards would be more difficult I think....

FWIW, for decades the stock loft on an 8-iron was 40 degrees, you don't see any wedges on tour close to that number.

Yeah because a driver has to be perfectly straight and the exact distance.... and high as possible to minimize roll.

Haha I did say 200+ in my original post. Thanks though, I realize this is about as close as you ever get to supporting another post.

I'm a left hander who plays gold right-handed, so this should work fine...

Hit a bunch of balls last night, experimenting with this...it seems if I set up with a little stronger grip instead of a neutral one like normal, the bowed wrist happens naturally throughout the swing...I was hitting my 8-1ron 175 yards! There was a slight downwind, but still...

Nothing says "It's over" louder than that.

Except maybe an embarrassing DUI arrest to put a bow on it.
