Rahm's Masters odds are really gonna suck now. They already kind of did for a first timer but he's the only first timer I've seen in a while that I wanted to back. Rahm is gonna be a star

DJ could have won this by 6 or 7 if he didn't miss all those 5-footers in round 1. Playing on a different level right now.

For me, the most punchable has been Davis Love THE THIRD. even his name pisses me off. Epitomizes rich country club brat.

Young FIGJAM was a contender!

Dl always seemed like a decent enough guy to me even despite looking like someone you would want to hate.

This tournament offically got me super pumped for augusta. I can actually see the masters playing out just like this one. Phil hitting it all over the damn place and still right there in the mix, rory never close to making a putt for 4 rounds, and of course a tradition unlike any other, Lee "t3" westwood right in contention untill about 1pm sunday when he goes on to make 4 doubles and shoot 78.

Ya, DL3 is a bit more of a GEEK, than a preppy-ahole.

Going through Westwood's round and looking at the 3 and 4 puts was amazing. The dude really likes putting his way out of contention.

Since the first two Masters (1934,35) exactly one golfer has won in his first start at Augusta. Fuzzy in 1979. Don't light money on fire chasing first timers.

You know there are golf bets that involve the golfer not winning the tournament, right?

That's pretty subjective. Not sure how to figure out who that would be. Are you talking about coaching pros or amateurs?

Butch Harmon

Sure, you argue some other people but he's the guy to beat.

Probably someone who isn't well known.

Awesome post. There's also probably different ways to be good. Maybe some people are good at getting someone from a 15 handicap to a 7, where others are good at getting someone from a -1 to a +1. Some might be great at the psychology aspect, and others are good at the mechanics..

Pete Cowen seems to have a lot of success with his students. I've watched several of his YouTube videos and they are great.

just an opinion but to me Butch Harmon is the undisputed champ

if i had a dollar for every time NBC announcers incorrectly identify Adam Hadwin as being from Moose Jaw, Sask.

Hadwin is rolling his rock !!

He is playing really really slow though. Like Furyk slow.

Win for Hadwin would put him in the field for the match play. Too bad he's getting married that week. (At least he didn't schedule the wedding for masters week. Knock on wood)

he's been knocking on the door for quite awhile now.

i could not agree more about the number of outstanding players these days.

people justifiably fixated on speith/day/mcilroy and then along came DJ... and now rahm, justin thomas and maybe hadwin are making pushes.... not to mention all kinds of background players.

hadwin is local guy and i've seen him play a bunch and seen him interact with local fans - like old ladies who volunteer at these events. he has a very endearing personality and a really genuine warmth to him... sorry that's kinda gushy

Hadwin's iron swing is so good. Awesome putting stroke also. Hope he closes tomorrow, seems like a nice guy. Most Canadians seem nice, so not surprised.
