Yeah have followed all his matches, his matches seem to be the most entertaining out of all the others. This one is no different.

Awesome! Really hoping they show most of his match on TGC. It looked like a really close and fun match to watch by the scoring.

where is the website for strokes gained looping?
there's no way by any means i'm doubting will's got game, but having ship on the bag during match play..knowing will's game as well as he does... might be worth what, at least a hole a round? maybe more?

edit will

Will comes off very humble in the few interviews I've seen of him, easy to root for...best of luck tomorrow.

I'm in Houston tonight and I have to be in College Station tomorrow afternoon to work at a summer camp. I guess this means I have to stop by on the way to watch the final, don't I? I've seen ship play, now I can see him caddy.

Just a quickie cuz I’m smoked and it’s honestly a blur due to 8 rounds in 6 days now.

Sean Crocker this morning was a pretty solid player. He has a great swing a good putting stroke, he’s just a tad hot under the collar which is fine if you learn how to cope with that. Will was cruising along fine and had they were even at the turn.

10 - Will hit an 8 iron to 8’ on 10 and made it even after Sean was in for bogey. 1 UP
11 – Sean 3 putts from 45’ over a big ridge after Will barely missed from 15’ for birdie. 2 UP
12 – Will hits great wedge to 25’ past hole that was in a brutal spot just over a shaved bank on 145 yard par 3. Sean hit it in greenside bunker, out to 20’. Will’s putt was fast as **** and slid by 5’ and he lipped out after Sean was in with bogey. 2 UP
13 – Both hit great drives. Sean hammers 3 wood from 270 to 30’ and just starred us down the hole way. WILL HITS HYBRID FROM 261 TO 3’!!!! Sean Putts first to 5’ long and misses coming back. Concedes 3’ eagle. 3 UP
14 – Will hit it left of tee pretty dead and hit an incredible recovery through a small window to 15’ from 170. Frustrated Sean pull hooks 8 iron 45’ long left and CANS IT FOR BIRDIE! Will misses. 2 UP
15 – Brutal hole. 440, water left, deep rough and trees tight right. Water front right of green and really tough green. Will pipes it and Sean hit it right and dead. Sean hits it long left and Will hits it to 25’. Sean hit an incredible chip to 6’. Will lags to good and then Sean misses. 3 UP, Dormie.
16 - Short but tough hole. Dogleg right but fairway slopes away from the dogleg and there is a corner bunker that’s 275 to carry. Will misses 3 wood a tad and doesn’t quite carry the corner bunker with and Sean hits it through dogleg in deep rough. Will hits it to 60’ on back of green over a huge ridge and Sean hits it about 50’ on back too. Will cans the bomb and game over.

Afternoon.

Good start with standards pars and is 2 UP through 3.

4 – Will is on green in two but 60’ with a hard putt and Curtis is 120 in two. Curtis hits a really nice wedge to 8’. Will’s first is ok to 6’. Curtis makes and Will misses. 1 UP
Pars….

7- Curtis hits an 8 iron to 6’ so Will fires at mega tucked pin and plugs in lip of bunker. Hacks it out and saves bogey. Curtis simply touches putt to get it down to hole. Even
8 – Will hammers driver to 239 and Curtis has 255ish. Curtis hits it way left and Will puts it 15’ for eagle. Curtis was dead and makes a really good par actually, Will lags. 1 UP
9 & 10 basic pars. Actually, on 10 Will had a hard first putt from 40’ and hit it about 6’ past and makes it for par. 1 UP

11 – Will hammers driver to 115 and hits 56 to 10’ and makes it. 2 UP
12 – Will hits good wedge to 8’ and Curtis is in same greenside bunker that Sean was in morning. Sean out to 20’ and misses. Concedes hole. 3 UP
13 – Will hits good drive and hybrid just off green but with a super slick 30’ chip. Curtis basic par and Will chips past to 8’ and misses. 3 UP
14 – Curtis hits it from fairway bunker to 25’ and Will is 15’. Curtis makes and Will misses. 2 UP
15 – This is the tough hole described above. Will hit a sligh hook off tee that lands if fairway but runs out barely in water left. Curtis hits good drive. Will hits 8 iron to 22’ and then Curtis smothers approach left. He hit an incredible shot to 6’ and makes it after Will misses. 1 UP
16 – Curtis kind of whiffs a 3 wood off tee and Will hammers his…too much. Through the dogleg into rough. Curtis hits nice shot from 150 to 15’ and Will is 18’. Will misses, Curtis makes. Cue Tiger style fist pump.
17 – and this has to be in the recap video. Curtis is 30’ just off green and for some reason leaves the metal pin in. It was a clear pin out situation, especially since it is metal. His ball barely taps the pin and sits on the lip right as he is starting fist pump #2. INSANE. Will had 25’ straight downhill that rolls out to 4’ and he made a real nice putt to stay Even.
18 – Curtis duck hooks it and Will just hammers one 330 down the center cut. Curtis then butchers his layup into the **** lining the water. Will’s play though and he stripes 5 iron from 220 just over green. Curtis gets it into right bunker somehow but is dead. Hits a really good shot actually to 25’. Will hits nice chip to 3’. Curtis misses and concedes.

WINNAH!

Curtis was a great kid, really pulling for him down the road. Kept his cool and head on straight.

Tomorrow we have the kid who lost in last years final to one of Will’s friends. If he sticks to the strategy and lets the tough pins and length of the course work to his advantage again I’m calling a 5&4 winner.

Now I’m off to bed.

He really is a great kid. It's the only reason I'm taking a full week from the wife and kids to caddie in a junior golf tournament.

Thanks!

Bring it on Pelican...hopefully I'm a better caddie than what you saw play that day! Pelican even met the elusive #Spenda in New Jersey at US Open sectionals.

You going to find one of those over sea book makers who will take a bet on him winning a major in the next 10 years. What line would you need to lay money down on him?

Mods, Riverman needs to be banned for the duration of tomorrow's match.

Ship, keep doing what you're doing. Good luck.
