Wow, DL3, great, we're gonna get to hear about his father, and how he was a PGA pro as well. I can't wait. I was thinking, has DL3 ever delivered a facial? I mean, that in itself isn't a problem, but it's just probably never crossed his mind, and that's what bothers me.

You think Tiger would be a good captain for the next Ryder Cup? Seriously? " Actually, from a strategic and leadership perspective, yes, but I could be wrong. From a publicity and marketing standpoint, absolutely. I think 95% of the people on this board could captain the team and it wouldn't make a difference, though.

All that said, I give zero s4!ts about the Ryder Cup.

I agree with most of this. Having Phil as a playing capt or Freddy would be a better/more interesting choice. I just don't think Tiger plays well with others, that and he's a mess mentally. I think a lot of these guys are enjoying his downfall and wouldn't be receptive to his leadership. From a marketing standpoint it would be huge.

So it looks like the match play is on the move again in 2016:

New locale: Austin TX
New sponsor: Dell
New date: late March, after Bay Hill and before Houston
New format: 16 groups of 4 playing round robin W-F, group winners advance;
Sweet 16 and Quarters Saturday, Semis and Finals Sunday.

That way, it's not a one and done for half the field, which is at least a good thing for the sponsors and TV. However, adding an extra round will always make scheduling difficult, as any bad weather from Friday on almost guarantees a Monday finish.

Amazing draw for Herman dodging the afternoon round and getting to go early tomorrow morning.

So 7 rounds in 5 days (less whatever holes don't get completed) for the finalists? Seems like quite a bit but I guess there won't be a pro-am or any pre tourney obligation for these guys?

yep. playing golf for 100s of thousands can be so taxing.

Not many here remember Tony Lema but his nickname was "Champagne Tony"

The press loved it when he won.

I'm here in PBG visiting my in laws. Not sure if there will be anymore golf today. Nasty t-storms with awful lightning.

Watching GC yesterday, I like that they hired Duval for the studio. I enjoy listening to what he has to say a lot more than Chamblee. Hope he can get better with more reps, he's an introvert who tends to think about what he wants to say before talking, which doesn't come across well on TV.

I'd be happy with either of the current leaders taking this. I'm starting to come around on Top Five as well.

Monday afternoon finish will do!

Took Berger and Overton pre tourney so hoping one of them somehow ships

I wouldn't mind seeing another one of these today...Patrick Reed Outburst

I still can't find the whole video. It cuts off too early. The PGA did a good job of erasing that clip from the internet.

Another water ball from Poulter, guy just can't get out of his own way
03-02-2015 , 10:19 AM
Would be amazing if Poulter somehow still wins
