A client is taking me to Pittsburgh next week (large internet retailer) and I'm going to have 1 night free to myself. Never been to the city and it's possible that I might be spending more time there in the future. What's the one place/restaurant that helps you see the city just a little and get a feel for the people? I'm open to anything from small places to fine dining - just something that let's me see the most of Pittsburgh in 1 night.

Our city is known for Pirmantis Sandwichs. Basically it's a giant sandwich with coleslaw and french fries on it. The original Pirmantis is down in the Strip District but theres a bunch all over the city.
The South Side is a place with a ton of bars and restaurants. If you just go there and walk around, you will find some good places.
Not sure where to send you but if you go to either the Strip District or the South Side you should find something you enjoy.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to have to see these sandwiches for myself because they don't sound all that appetizing. But when in Rome . . .

Just got back from Pittsburgh. Client was great, but city unimpressive. These mofos are going to have to back up a truck full of money to get me to move out there.
