Spread out and pretty damn miserable people for the most part unfortunately.
san diego ftw
-LA has good beaches and great weather + beautiful girls. Most tourist love Venice Beach
-Tons of hiking in the city offering spectacular ocean and/or city views. Including Griffith Park, the 2nd largest city park in the USA. This is something I don't think people realize when visiting LA. Some really nice hiking opportunities
-Arguably the best collection of theme parks in the world. Magic Mountain is probably the #2 park for roller coasters on the globe.
-Food from anywhere in the world including legit Mexican. Almost 100 languages are spoken in LA, can find anything food wise
-Every band in the world plays LA, numerous shows 7 days a week.
-Can do day trips to the beach, forests, mountains, desert, lakes.
-Some solid museums, The new Getty is worth a visit
LA does suck, but had to attempt to defend my home. Traffic and transportation does blow but the city does have a lot to offer visitors. It's just not handed to you on a platter like in other cities where you go to the center and stroll around on foot for a couple days, have to work for it!
I do love San Diego
