wtf is an anime girl?

When I was in Japan I saw some guy taking pics of a doll he was carrying around. I am pretty sure this was the physical version of his anime girlfriend. It was incredibly disturbing and my entire group was wondering wtf he was doing. He was clearly a bit ashamed because it was really dark out and he was obviously embarrassed when he saw my group approaching.

I've got a week or so in AZ and Southern Utah. I'm thinking about checking out the cheesy stuff since the national parks are closed or on life support. I figure once in my life I should do that Grand Canyon skywalk thing - even though it sounds like a total ripoff. Also maybe Meteor Crater. And Monument Valley since I've never been there up close and I think it's run by the Navajo so it won't be closed.

Anyone else have any good ideas? Hard hikes are very welcome.

I plan to drive back along the Burr Trail in Southern Utah. I did it the other way once and it was by far the most scenic drive I've ever done. Also I've never seen 4 corners - hopefully that's not closed.

I've heard that the skywalk is well worth it.

Maybe more central than southern Utah, but near Hanksville is Goblin Valley State Park. Interesting rock formations, pretty scenic in a deserty sort of way.

Goosenecks state park near Mexican Hat has a cool view of the river (can't remember if it's Colorado or San Juan at that point) ambling through the rock below.

Since you're on a poker forum, should probably go to Bluff, Utah, though I can't remember anything about it other than its existence.

It seems like there was a state park or scenic view or something east of Grand Canyon which gave a pretty great view, but I can't find it now, and can't remember which highway I came in on.

Meteor Crater has somewhat interesting displays, but even as a space fan, it wasn't much more than what you saw in Starman. Not worth going out of your way for, but interesting if you're close.
