Thinking of a Cape Town -> Cairo route with the actual start in Johannesburg and west along the southern coast to Cape Town, then over to Victoria Falls via Namibia.

Inter-country transport seems like the biggest hurdle. Can fly but would rather go by land. Lack of trains is a bummer, looks like it's buses the entire way because buying a vehicle appears to be a huge hassle.

I only really care about BTC but i'd hold off buying anything for now as we had rally over last 24-48 hrs, i read that another big sell off is due, buy back in when it drops 350-400ish.

Something along the lines of "figure it out when I get there" based on what things look like in the region at that point in time. Will do some research beforehand but not making any fixed plans until it's much closer to the time to be in the area.

Which one is cheaper/better if one wants to have a cheap and warm winter (studio apartment, no partying, cheap food, cheap beer, clean-ish beach with warm sea): Thailand or Vietnam?

Vietnam is probably cheaper but I don't think there is a big difference.

For the visa : Vietnam>Thailand (in Vietnam, you can have a 1 year business visa for ~350$ that you can use for tourism purposes)

For the hookers : Thailand>Vietnam

For having a gf and living together without being married : Thailand>Vietnam, Vietnam is more traditional so it's not gonna be easy especially if you live in the same city that the family of your gf

For LTR, wife material girls : Vietnam>Thailand

Anyone been to Singapore? Cost/Girls/Nightlife? How does it compare to Thailand? Thinking about taking a short trip there while I'm in Thailand.

If you've been in SEA for awhile Singapore is a great visit imo. Nice orderly society where people are considerate of other people around them and you don't have to be worried about being ran over by a bus while in the cross walk.
Lots of options for girls but everything way over priced. Although based on these reports that cowboy girls are asking 3k short time, Singapore may be a little more competitive these days.
Anyways, I don't know much about the girls there but I do know to you need to stay away from orchard towers. Any hotties there are few and far between.
