Fetishes are irrational in their nature, they're usually not what one would like consciously.

I can't stand death metal at all, my taste is First Wave - early-mid 80's alternative. (1st Wave station on XM/Sirius).

But last summer at the WSOP Bounty Bracelet event I sat for 8 hours next to the frontman/lead singer of the band "Eat the Turnbuckle", a death metal band which incorporates wrestling moves and blood etc. Not my music taste at all, but the guy was actually very nice and humble lol.

Ah, then it's you who is 'special' I mean, death metal is probably the 'purest' of all metal genres, at least for young listeners, though old man coffees might still listen to nothing else but heavy metal classics or the 1st Wave or whatever, who're not bad by any means, of course. (Up The Irons!!! )

Fwiw, I don't find Eat The Turnbuckle's sound too aggro (if considered separately from the music videos).

Re: travel low content thread

Had you heard of Eat The Turnbuckle before? Before I met the band leader I of course had not, but I guess they've toured Europe etc. Just curious since you seem to like this genre if they are a known band?

Re: travel low content thread

TheFly, I can't advise on what bands are popular or good because I populate my playlist randomly and very seldom I hadn't heard about ETT before either.

A litmus test of whether a metal band is mainstream is whether it's listed at darklyrics.com. If it isn't, then it's either underground (like ETT that has only 2 full-length albums) or too pop like Korn (as a sign of contempt, DarkLyrics give an external link to AZLyrics instead of publishing Korn's lyrics at the site itself).

Speaking of the relation between headbanging and asexuality, I'd rather say that being asexual and especially aromanticism severely limit the range of listenable music genres because most modern songs are romantically (if not sexually) suggestive

Aces, mostly romantic ones, do listen to 'soft' rock genres, in particular, a significant part of them are fond of Morrissey, My Chemical Romance (both Morrissey and Gerard Way have ambiguous sexuality), Fall Out Boy, Paramore

For aromantics, it's much harder to find appropriate 'soft' music.

By a strange coincidence, the man whose OOT AMA has explained asexuality to me and prompted me to inquire deeper into myself digs Meshuggah \m/ too (though some of the stuff that he listens to is too aggro for me). I don't know if there's any causality

Re: travel low content thread

I've just had a burst of hysterical laughter as I've thought that some of you might have made a conjecture that Meshuggah makes its listeners asexual because it ****s them in the ears so deeply that they stop needing normal ****ing to be happy

Btw, is the term 'eargasm' limited to the metal community only, or do listeners of other music genres experience eargasms too?

I think LonelyBox does have eargasms when listening to Silver Chair because even I have had a bit of it when listening to the last half of a minute of the above track, but that was partly due to the drums.

Oops, here's the correct link: OOT extreme metal thread.

A funny fact is that there seems to be more female screaming vocalists than female poker pros, and there are of course a lot of female extreme metal musicians as well.

I've come across a Tumblr page that lists around 750 female-fronted extreme metal bands (its layout is a bit clumsy - close the 'Follow Me' popup at the bottom right to see links to previous pages of lists). If I listened to one of these bands per day, I wouldn't finish until 2018.

other have it too, my highest eargasm is when I listen to some variant of La Folia or also know as Sarabande. (basically the same thing, a Spanish dance)

I remember when I was 9 years old I listen to a Folia by Corelli. I knew I had something different than other kids of my age.

This night, my dream was about

Spoiler:
Speaking of sleep, I've found that the Meshuggah 'War (The Best Of)' playlist acts on me like a decent lullaby, except that I made the mistake of turning it on too loud and woke up several times when the songs were changing each other.

Re: travel low content thread

^ Not really - I listed band names, not song names. Those bands are 'purer', respected more than Babymetal... though, technically, the latter does play a kind of power or melodic death metal at times so is partially 'kosher', or at least so I think

P.S. Su is already 18, I don't care about Yui and Moa.

Time to find the Tokyo airport blow-job bar, I hear it's on the second level tucked away in the corner

Silver lingings inlcude but are not limited too;

feet tickled

back scrubbed in shower

sexual relief on tap (unless you have a fridged gf then wtf anyway)

cleaned house/room/cloths/dishes bedding etc.

meals cooked

shopping done

Mundane chores done, such as calling true to find out when the repair man is coming, for example or going to buy snacks, or meds from the pharmacy when you have a ragging hangover
