I've just thought I might need to live in Kazakhstan at some point, and though I wouldn't be interacting with Kazakhs much anyway because there's a big self-contained Russian diaspora (not even speaking the Kazakh language) that is at slight odds with the Kazakh natives, I'd still be seeing the Asian-looking half of the population (Russians are only 23% of the overall population of Kazakhstan, but their share goes up to 49% in some northeastern cities and up to 70% in surrounding rural areas).

When I was doing my university in China, the Russian/stan community was huge. Many kazak girls are damn pretty, more than the Russian girl imo.
