^ My use of "scam" was perhaps not the best choice of words, but in any case I consider it to be a very bad deal. Colloquially, I and many others refer to bad deals as "scams". High exchange rate fees or payday advance loans are not necessarily illegal or overly deceptive such as to be labelled scams in the truest sense of the word, and thus I can see how you take issue with me referring to them as scams. I personally consider excessive fees involved with the loaning or exchanging of money to be immoral, and this probably also factored into my decision to post. Although you may not agree with my personal moral values with respect to this matter, please understand that I was posting with the intention of helping / informing the uninformed, and not with the intention of trolling.

I'm done arguing with you, so I will say sorry, and let's move on. For those of you who are happy to pay 5% vig, I also am sorry to you, and I acknowledge that it's perhaps not appreciated for me to tell you what to do with your money. Hope this clears things up.

Yeh, but on the other hand paying 400 baht for a short trip home is a lot better than trying to ride a bike drunk.

so ppl pay 5% vig becuz it avoids the hassle of getting money out of the their USA/CAN bank account and can get stars for it right away. most banks in USA/CAN charge a 3% vig anyways plus other small charges but its a really big hassle getting money in and out. Also for americans, they can't even cash money out to their american bank becuz its illegal now. so i mean i think 3-5% is fair for a swap with a random person. if u think this isnt' fair, what % would u charge if im asking you for a swap?

I would charge you exactly what it would cost me if I knew you (I would probably do it 100% for free if you were a good friend), and if I didn't know you, I wouldn't do it for you, however in both cases I would advise you on ways that you could do it for a reasonable cost to the best of my knowledge. I don't engage in usurious activities. Anyway I am done discussing this topic, feel free to pay whatever you feel is acceptable to you without me commenting on it in this thread.

it's outrageous to come here and make a bunch of passive aggressive accusations and implications about people offering or using a service that you know nothing about

just like when you made some posts in the budhapest thread implying that the people trying to sublet rooms were scammers, even though you have never been there and know nothing about the city

If there's nothing wrong with the deals being offered, then you shouldn't have any issue with someone questioning it. If anything, it should make people more confident in using your service. I gained nothing by posting in the Budapest thread, I just decided to look into apartment prices in Budapest and posted what I found for the benefit of others. If you don't find the information useful, then ignore it, but I'm sure that what I post is useful for some people. If you don't want people talking about what you post on a forum, then really your posts are nothing more than advertisements.. this thread is not an advertisement thread, it's an information thread. I'm happy to talk about white skin vs dark skin thai girls of course, but if you're going to post your "services" in a thread, then don't expect people not to question or comment on them.
