Changing return dates is also not as cheap as you would think, often the prices are just outragious. I wanted to change return date from South Africa earlier this year and Iberia wanted $750 to just CHANGE return date.

So yeah, I'm trying to see how I can get back to DC without paying 1 grand...
did u try evaair.com? They have bkk>NYC for $580-$600.. I'm sure you could catch a cheap flight or bus or whatever from there to DC

So will it be flooded Sukhumvit Rd ?

Its so dry and nice here , so reading the news I just dunno.

No problems with food at Emporium today so Im good.
10-26-2011 , 08:12 PM
Going today is off, no matter how dry Emporiim stays there will be weeks of volunteer opportunities. Will be much more fun and productive with my Thai friends getting us involved, and maybe if/when bkkcentral actually gets hit.

Sorry, next time.

I can't believe the Thai government turned down aid from the US Navy... I guess they have it under control

what do you think they are hearing from the Thai government? Even if he want to get into the complicated politics of a 3rd world country, what should he say, "No, Thailand is a corrupt disaster zone totally underwater cancel your vacations!"?

When the power went out on Sunday near me everyone was in the supermarket buying up noodles, eggs, water and toilet paper. Luckily there was still alcohol and mixers left

Couple of good youtube clips explaining the floods:

Very True..........but her hotness makes up for her short comings.

Would you like to have a bad PM that was ugly or a bad PM that is HOT as hell?

Anyone currently trading stars for baht? My 3K on stars for baht

I have to make a rather big withdrawal from an atm, they always ask me if I want to use their conversion rate or my banks (moneybookers)

Which is better?
10-29-2011 , 07:12 AM
you cant take more than 30k from an ATM in one withdrawal?

i dont know which rate the bank here uses but if I had to guess I think it will be lower than MBs 2.5% they rob you for
10-29-2011 , 07:17 AM
Yeah I will use multiple cards and atms, one of them is a normal bank issued visa. guess I will take their rate for the mb withdraws and my banks for the visa then
