wow I got caught w/ a tiny ass amt @ checkpoint on motorbike @ Sukhumvit Thong Lor and negotiated down to 6k baht, thought I was a huge fish and was slightly annoyed at friends who were pushing I just pay and stop "waiting them out"

don't. the theory is that you're just a tourist fresh off the boat who can't speak any Thai and does not therefore understand the concept of offering a bribe to the police at all. I think it can backfire though if they catch on, which I think they may have since I went from riding around on a motorbike taxi in BKK ->> barely being able to say sawatdii kap to the cops.

edit: the problem also is "fresh" tourists also have way more fear of Thai prison and more money to spend carelessly than farang who are accustomed to Thai living/prices. There was a lot of talk about how I'd be going to Thai prison and such which clearly did not phase me since I knew it was a big jopke to try and get money.

FWIW i've made it rain in gogos, at ladybars, and from balconies overlooking multiple bars. i'm assuming the video referenced is me walking down Soi Lion stuffing 20 baht notes in all cleavage that's available. it began with confusion and ended with me being swarmed by ladies presenting their asses and tits for me to stuff 20s in... satisfactory.

I spent a couple hours researching this online and it appears there is no adderall in Thailand and ritalin was either recently banned or incredibly difficult to get prescribed.

They're cracking down on tourist visas. I just barely got my 4th consecutive in Cambodia and I brought a letter from my banker, my bankbook and lease agreement. But still it was probably my gf that got me the visa by telling them we were planning to marry and buying a house.

I initially used a highly recommended travel agent and he couldn't do anything for me.

I'm going to switch to an ed visa next, esp now that I can do the classes via skype.
