A saturday in Vietnam

This is a video I took:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILQlau7RWss

I'm in Vietnam and working on a travel channel. Appreciate any thoughts or advice.

I'm looking to grow this and make maybe 20 bucks one day

You probably need more content than just you walking in silence through a market for four minutes if you want to get it off the ground.

Re: A saturday in Vietnam

This is just a raw video. You need to talk, explain where you are, what is the goal of this video (explore place X, find some yummy foods, etc), talk about prices, ... You could continue to shoot your videos POV style but you need to talk to your audience.

There is a Youtuber who is living in Saigon (Sonny, his channel is Best ever food review show) that I am following since he has 40k subscribers. I remember that he explained, in one of his video, going nowhere with his food channel until he made a deal with a big Vietnamese travel company (One trip) who basically give him content and a local guide, to shoot every new video. I don't know him personally but my guess is their deal is the Youtube money is for him but in exchange he has to advertise the travel company at the end of each of his video. Now he has 1M followers, shooting new videos weekly with this travel company in SEA, in South Korea and in India.

So my advice would be work on your editing skill, grow your channel, make videos with others Youtubers who are living in SEA then when you get a few dozen thousand subscribers find and make a deal with a big local travel company to get content ideas and local guides with who shoot your future videos. GL!

I'm partial to raw footage. I'm trying to get an authentic feel for people to see the real side of Vietnam, not the tourist stuff. Of course editing could be helpful.
