Can anyone please compare these two cities.

Where will get better value (in terms of lifestyle quality) for money?

Poker-wise, which place is better to grind 2/5 NL holdem?

Can you please recommend some clubs in Austin where 2/5 run regurarly? I can't find that many but I heard there were many.

Thanks a lot.

Haven’t been to Austin and have never grinded for a living but I can tell you that anywhere in California (and San Diego especially) is expensive as ****, and there aren’t many live venues to game select from.

In my limited totally not statistically significant experience the 2/5 at 7 mile wasn't that great, many regs, not that many punters. At least pre-covid it was running, I dunno if 24/7, but at least regularly, also at off-peak times. Making a living out of that in SD sounds like not the easiest job though, that is correct. Pretty expensive place, nice city though. At Jamul there wasn't even 2/5 running when I was there, Oceans 11 was a bit better but that's already halfway to LA. I'd take a 5/10 LA game anytime though over the aforementioned ones.
Austin I've never been, it's not that big a city though so I doubt you find many cardrooms there

Thanks for taking the time do do such an extensive write-up. I will definitely let you know if I have any questions. I will actually be there from Jan. 30th to Feb. 2nd, I'll buy the first round if you down.
