**"Where should I go? What should I do?" READ THIS BEFORE POSTING**

Lately there has been a large influx of new threads started on many repeated locations.

If you are new to the travel forum (or 2+2), PLEASE USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION. There are many extensive threads on alot of the same places that I see on the front page (Miami, many U.S. cities, etc, etc).

I recently added alot of links to the master sticky at the top of this forum, so please check that out before asking a question.

Thanks to all who contribute to this forum. I'll try to clean up some of the other threads here/add more stuff to the sticky. Feel free to PM me any additions you think that might be good/useful to the master sticky.

AFTER YOU TRAVEL: Trip reports are always appreciated. If any of you could take the time/energy to make trip reports, I'm sure we would all enjoy those. Please post your link inside of the Trip Reports Thread at the sticky.

If you are asking "Where should I go?", MAKE SURE YOU ADD SPECIFICS!!! In your OP include:

-Time
-Budget
-What you're looking for
-poker or not?
-travel experience

Some fantastic advice from dc_publius:

Disregard all general advice.

Go to places that revolve around your hobbies and interests. If you like medieval architecture, go to place X. If you like craft beers, go to place Y. If you were itching to try hobby Z, go to go place Z. If you want to check off a ton of x-es on the travel map and passport, get a rail ticket in Europe and knock yourself out.

In other words, for specific destination take a look in the mirror first. Different people like different destinations for different reasons.
