It is commission free (I'm pretty sure this is the correct site ... they must have changed their home page b/c it looks different. If this isn't commission free, drop me a DM and I'll do some more research.) Good luck.
Thanks for taking your time, appreciate it!

Hi, we are looking for a new roommate for our 3 bedroom apartment in Prague.

The apartment is located in Prague 2 with a 5 minute walk to the city center in Prague 1 and a lot of restaurants, bars, stores and a nice park nearby.
With 3 floors, 4 bathrooms the apartment is very spacious and we are really happy with it.
Rent is 14200czk(about 520€) including expenses.

Our lease is running out mid September and we are not 100% sure yet what we are going to do after that so we are looking for somebody just for 3 months for now, starting August 1st. It is quite possible that we are gonna extend the contract.

We are two germans, I am 22 and my roommate is 26. I play mid/highstakes Nl, recently started playing PLO and highstakes MTTs. My buddy is playing mid/highstakes HUNL Cash.

Shoot me a PM if interested.

Are there enough 2p2ers in Prague to justify a meetup? I'll be in Prague for the first week of August. It'd be nice to meet the people behind the screen name.

Possibly. I'm not sure how many of them actively post here though.

I would be down for a 2p2 meeting, I'm available on the 2nd and 3rd of August, does either day suit you? Btw do you guys have any experience with car rentals here? We'll be moving from Prague 1 to 3 with my roommate and we have close to 4k liters of stuff to move, so we'll rent some VW Transporter or equivalent.

Cool, so let's get burgers (Prague is full of nice burger places) before going for beers/drinks. I suggest we meet at 7pm on the 3rd of August. Lmk who's in (so that I can reserve for the right amount of people at the restaurant).

-madmansam?
-SuperUberBob
-SwishFTW

The time/date may not suit everyone, but if we wait for a day that will suit everyone we'll probably never meet up~~

Looking forward

I may be showing up on the 3rd or 4th as well. Would be awesome to have a couple of locals to meet up with for a burger.

My plan is to hang out in Prague for a few days, then wander down to Istanbul, spending some time in either Bulgaria or Romania depending on which is more awesome. Have about 10 days from arrival in Prague to needing to be in Istanbul, any suggestions welcome. I like outdoorsy stuff and sweeping views.

Update: I'm arriving on the 4th at 10pm, so unless the date changes to the 5th or later, I'm out.

It seems like any day between 5th-8th would be best for a meet up if there's a few of you arriving on the 4th.

My flight lands early evening on the 2nd. Should be around until the 6th or so. Can do anything in between.

Seems like the 5th works for most people. Swish, is that good for you?

Yeah the 5th is fine as well then. So let's meet at 7 or so for burgers and then go for drinks?

Swish what else should we eat while we're there? I'm getting told to eat garlic soup and trdelnik. What else? I already read the wiki entry on Slovak cuisine so do not try to trick me into eating hurky!

Also any recommendations on where to stay? I'm going to default to a hotel or airbnb somewhere in city center near Metro but appreciate any suggestions.

One of my cousins who spent a month in Prague sent me this map.

Well, #32 is a really ****ty place. Maybe they're nice to locals but they were bitchy to us, food was meh. I'm just worried that this map is sponsored by restaurants/cafés. I would go for the sightseeing mentioned in this place but I would be really careful about the food and drinks.

If you like meat there are a few amazing places like the http://nasemaso.ambi.cz/en/ it's a butcher but you can have food there, the meals are really simple but the quality of the meat is just so amazing that the simplicity of the food you get values even more the meat you're eating. My roommate had a burger and I took a tartare steak and it was fantastic. This butcher is supplying other restaurants in Prague - from the Ambiente label: http://www.ambi.cz/cz/restaurace/ you can go to all of them for sure, I haven't tried them all but it's a reliable label (if you like pizzas then getting one at "Pizza Nuova" is a snap call). More meat : http://www.masoakobliha.cz/ "Maso a kobliha" means "meat and donut", again their focus is having top ingredients and it's obvious from every meal. Try their scotch eggs if you go there. I mean, unless you're vegan there should not be "if you go there", just f***ing go there! I love sushis as well, and the first place I went in Prague for sushis turned out to be really good so I'm loyal to them now and haven't been anywhere else: http://www.iyami.cz/en/contact. But of course sushis aren't Czech at all. On top of the things you mentioned you should obviously go for a goulash. For burgers, we tried 2 nice places so far with my roommate - Dish {fine burger bistro} (http://www.dish.cz/) and Meat and Great (http://magburgerhouse.cz/)

I was vegan for like ~7 months, as you can see it's not the case anymore but I still like vegan food and not stuff myself with meat all the time, interestingly enough it turns out that in a goulash country they have fantastic stuff for vegetarians. http://restaurace-maitrea.cz/en/ and http://www.lehkahlava.cz/ are sisters restaurants, you can read about their philosophy there: http://www.lehkahlava.cz/en_projekt.htm. There is also a decent amount of raw food restaurants that are really nice http://www.myraw.cz/ and http://www.secretofraw.cz/ are two of them I like. I've brought meat eaters in this places and it's been a success every time.

For drinks, well, Prague has my favorite cocktail bar, if you're into cocktails just go there: http://www.anonymousbar.cz/. Groove bar is also very nice, music is more like loungy beats and the whole bar is smoker friendly (but well ventilated though). For beers/ciders what I like to do is to get them by the river, a few nice places opened during summer. You can go to the Metronom, a famous spot in Prague 1 with a nice view over the city - they have a new bar there with bears and you can chill in a park. The other day OGS20 showed me a beer garden in Riogravy park that I recommend as well, maybe we'll go there on the 5th anyway.

As for clubs, I haven't been out in clubs that much because (a) I'm not a fan of the mainstream electro, (b) it's probably smoking environments (c) Tinder, so you'd need to ask some other guys. Haven't been to strip clubs here either.

I don't rely on live games to win, I played one NLHE 10/20 (27Kc=1€), table was overly soft, play a 3500Kc 6-max reentry tournament, field was weak too, and after that tournament I played some Dealer's choice 10/20 and it didn't look like tough competition either. But you can't count on 10/20 live to live, the 25/50 I've seen was with old guys/business men so probably a good game as well.

There is a lot of live games in Rozvadov, and many friends have told me it's soft games.

Basically, you shouldn't have any problems.

Regarding the bank, you'd probably be better off saying you do something else. I haven't heard of anybody telling them they play poker for a living, but I do know people who've opened bank accounts without hassle.
My roommate opened a bank account without any problems, as for poker here, it's some grey area at worst, haven't heard any pro pay any kind of taxes here.
