For how long would I be allowed to stay, and after that for how long would I have to leave the country?
I've only found some rules for Americans, but it might be different for me who is from a Schengen member country?
Norwegians have freedom of movement and can live/work anywhere in the EU.

Hi,
we are looking for a 3rd roommate for our apartment we just rented in Prague.

We are 2 germans in the early 20s. I play primarily NL 6max cash 1/2-5/10 and MTTs on sundays.
My mate is a NL HU reg and plays the same stakes.

The apartment is located in prague 2 next to a big park and a lot of restaurants and bars and it is not far to the centre in prague 1.

http://www.homesweethome.cz/en/offer...n-in-vinohrady

It is very spacious with 3 floors and 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It is gonna be renovated before we move in.

Rent is 35000 czk with utilities total which is about 1277€ (425€ pp) The lease is starting from 15th of march for 6 months, potentially longer.

We would prefer a NL grinder who is open for other things than poker aswell like sports/going out.

PM me if you are interested.

I'm headed to thailand wednesday, so need to do it before then. Could anybody PM me or hit me up on skype at: gnarlybro and I can make a 5 minute call to someone (just put the phone down or I can tell you a story if you like )

it's cold? tell that to New Yorkers. this is the second straight easy winter in Prague. i moved from Atlanta and Atlanta's two past winters have been worse than Prague's two past winters, which is crazy. today is the best day of the year too. beautiful afternoon!

There's nobody else in Prague trying to go out and get a drink or whatever? I don't really know the area too well but I'm staying in the city center for the next couple weeks.

Hi,

I'm considering relocating in Prague. I have 2 questions :

-What are the official law regarding online poker?
-Can someone go to a bank and open an account saying s/he plays online poker?

Thank you

Basically, you shouldn't have any problems.

Regarding the bank, you'd probably be better off saying you do something else. I haven't heard of anybody telling them they play poker for a living, but I do know people who've opened bank accounts without hassle.

I would be very surprised if they want anything except money and ID.

Hey!

Would anyone in Prague be able to exchange my Pokerstars/Neteller/Skrill $ or Euros vs some CZK for a small % ? (I need about 40K CZK before Sunday to book a flat and I'll get raped by the exchange rate if I withdraw from my Net+ card)
PM me if you can, would be great

You cant just W/D from an ATM somewhere? Rates there are fine.

If you cant get anything, then go to this exchange:

https://maps.google.cz/maps?ie=UTF8&...=classic&dg=oo

The rates are better than anywhere else that I know of. http://www.exchange.cz/

Will contact you for football when I will have a health insurance set up~~

Got an Airbnb flat, it's advertised as having internet but it's disgustingly slow and doesn't seem very reliable. As a consequence I will get a 3G or 4G plan, which provider do you recommend?

I use Vodafone as my back-up connection. It's ok but I don't know if I'd want it as my main internet. I'd try talking to the landlord about getting UPC internet installed into the apartment, they tend to be quite quick and getting it done. I have a 240mb/s connection that was installed the day I moved into my apartment.

What is the rake at the tables in Prague like?

Is it realistic to survive in Prague on live cash game winnings?
By survive I mean 1k USD++ per month.

I'm a decent player who barely makes enough online.

not sure about the rake, but i believe most/all of the poker rooms allow smoking at the tables (this doesn't include festivals like EPT Prague). just an fyi in case you didn't know.

Cancer is +EV as long as it keeps the regs away.

How about making a living?
I've read it's tough to find games higher than 25/50 CZK which is almost exactly 200 USD NL.

I've never tried to play live for a living, but these stakes seems too low for grinding in 1k USD per month.

Is it standard in Prague that they ask for a month rent in commission for a rental contract? Mainly searching here, http://www.sreality.cz

Does that mean that they get double commission since I assume the flat owner pays something well?

Yeah, don't pay a commission (I made this mistake at my first place). Use this site:

http://www.bezrealitky.cz/

It is commission free (I'm pretty sure this is the correct site ... they must have changed their home page b/c it looks different. If this isn't commission free, drop me a DM and I'll do some more research.) Good luck.
