Played at the Ambassador. Game was 50/100 ($2/$4). 5 local czechs and 2 sweedes. They smoke like chimney and chain smoke. Drinks are free and i think food.

Made nice $280 which was fine. I wasnt looking to kill it.

Again day 2 & 3 I played at the tourist casino in wencelas square at Ambassador casino (chips say VIP casino Praha on them).

Gave day 1 profit away at Goldfingers strip club waiting to get in a game. All 3 tables they had were full.
Game was 25/50 crown but played deep with Czech regs, some Germans, Pols, Sweedes....made my best score while i was drunk that day too, about 800 profit.

Day 3, played in middle of night again same place but this time 10/20 crown...game was tighter, only few aggro regs, still made tiny bit before I left.

Great $$ playing in side of being on holliday. +1000 USD....great place to visit

Hi guys,

professional sports bettor here who is looking into moving to Prague (or possibly Malta). How's the poker/gambling community over there? A lot of people on the ground? I don't play poker myself but I guess there would be plenty of mutual interests between poker and sports betting, so I'd be happy to chat with anyone who can share some intel. Skype obv possible as well (ivan.crnogatic)

There's quite a few poker players living in Prague, I don't know many people who sports bet for a living though. Which sports do you bet on?

Tennis is my main area of proficiency although I dabble a bit in the footy markets now during the break, with more success than I expected. I follow quite a few other people for other sports, US and football, to spread my portfolio. I'd reckon there's quite an overlap in terms of lifestyle and interests between poker players and sports bettors so would be cool to get in otuch with some of you

Hi icrus, and everyone else who might be looking for a place to stay in Prague.

I'm a poker player who will be moving to Prague in February.
I know absolutely nobody in Prague, so living with someone with common interests would probably be a good idea.

When I'm not on the grind I like to be sociable, more often than not with a beer in my hand.

Paul(30) Norwegian.

PM if interested.

Having troubles finding an apartment in Prague. Haven't gotten answers from some sites yet and some are crazy expensive for shorter leases. Tried first page from google searches but you guys probably have some good tips for 1-3 month period stays? Will stay in Prauge longer if I like the city which I probably will.

Anyway I'm up for renting a room as well so if anyone has a spare room that would be awesome.

My skype is mond5331 and I will be arriving early January.

Cheers!

Pretty good decision. There are several 2p2ers currently living in Prague who might be able to help you make some connections and get a better deal than you'd find online.

If any of you want to meet up for a beer or whiskey that would be cool.I'm arriving the 8th January and will be grinding cash for 4 nights and searching for suitable long term accomodation/sightseeing during the day.

As Bob mentioned above, If any 2+2 ers have some connections for long term stays I would really appreciate some help. I am 25yo Irish grinder.

I think all the best links for finding apartments have already been posted in this thread.

Sreality.cz has the most options, bezrealitky and expats.cz (the classified section) have the commission-free options.

For short-term I think airbnb is probably best.

Depending on the timing I might be around for a beer/whiskey too.

Just on a waiting list for 25/50 at the ambassador might check out banco later.
I probably shouldn't have given up cigarettes 6weeks ago fml it's everywhere.
Staying at an airbnb 400m from the ambassador such a good location. What's the best way to get to Hilton from ambassador?I'm gonna okay higher stakes once I feel comfortable here

I'd just take a taxi/uber, but don't take one from the street. Always phone in advance.

Hello,

I'm from Portugal and I'm moving to Prague.

Does anyone know if you need an utility bill to prove your address in order to open a bank account in Prague or, being from Schengen Space, just the ID is fine?

What are the best options to open a bank account in terms of fees and online service?

Thanks!

All you need is a passport.

Recommend fio bank as they seem to have the lowest fees.

Hello people, living in Prague a year now but this is my first post in prague chat strangely! My poker player pals have been slowly leaving me for hotter pastures... I really fancy some drinks tonight and trying to find some ladies to talk to. In need of wingman, anyone in?

Hey mate (and everyone else!)

will prob hit the city some time next week to look for a place to stay. I guess I'll be looking to live alone but I'm open to suggestions. Either way, happy to meet up with some solid people and bring some life to the city. PMs welcome
