Which sites/networks you can still play online poker? Stars.EU, Stars.ES, Ipoker, Microgaming, Winamax, PartyPoker and Unibet?

Stars.eu is the only one with a license that I am aware. Winamax doesn't care if you play from here as long as you are registered in another country.

I'm pretty sure party, 888, and ipoker arn't possible without a vpn.

Sometime in February, I'll be in Prague for a few days for work-related reasons.

Last time, I met OGS20, SwishFTW and a couple of others from 2p2 for cigars and whiskey and had a good time chatting. That was summer 2015 though. I'm wondering who's still around there. It's very possible that I will be living there starting in August. So it'd be nice to chill, make some friends, and get settled if that happens.

You guys play live poker over in prague? Do they run PLO? Whats the fish to reg ratio at both NL and PLO?

How cheap can I get a 1 bed, 40m2, safe neighborhood but doesn't haven't be central, but a modern apartment?

PLO runs semi often, check http://www.pokerzive.cz/

Itll show what games are currently running throughout the country and its surprisingly accurate. Live games are decent, but a big annoyance is the local regs who will usually ruin the atmosphere for foreign fish by talking very loudly amongst one another in Czech.

Rents here aren't expensive, and everywhere is safe for the most part. 600-700usd/month could probably get a modern but not central place.

Okay, I'll arrive on the 16th but really late at night. So my free days are the 17th, 18th, and 21st for any meetings.

Damn is Prague that dead to 2p2ers now? Guess everybody's moved onto some other country.

Prague is a very different place during the winter. I actually like it more than the summer due to the lack of chaos caused by tourists.

I'm staying in a somewhat shady area of Prague 4 but otherwise it's all good. Good shot of moving here come August.

I'm of the opposite opinion. My favorite thing by far about Prague was just relaxing with a beer in one of the many beautiful parks or sitting outside. Got slightly depressed during the winter though. Never found tourists as a bother (excluding the large crowds of rude, annoying Chinese, which could apply to a lot of places) as long as your daily commute doesnt take you over Charles Bridge or past the astronomical clock at the hour mark every day or something.

Tourists dont matter unless you live in old town, which no one recommends unless you really like being close to lots of bars.

As for winter, get yourself a sun lamp and stare into it for a few minutes in the morning.

Living in Old Town sounds like a nightmare.

I also noticed that things have definitely become more expensive since I last came here in 2015. A meal at a restaurant is really not that much cheaper than what I'd get in Scotland. Electronics are very expensive.

Perhaps Amazon is a way bigger bargain here.

Yeah restaurants have gone up a bit but I dont mind too much. Prague imo is a good balance of not being a high cost city like London/Paris but also gets you a decent large city with all the airline connections, plus lots to do and plenty of good looking single non religious women. Its still inexpensive when it comes to groceries, rent, transportation, and healthcare. Any average western salary here puts you above most people you will meet and allows for a good lifestyle with saving/investing.

I get all my electronics on www.czc.cz and the prices seem to be what I would expect. Amazon shipping for what I've gotten in the past is quite a lot, but depends where it ships from I guess. The last thing I got on amazon was a ~$50 monitor stand from the US that I couldn't find here, and shipping was $45-50.

I might go to Prague for some cash games. Did you play any live games at the casinos,
which has the best games? I see on pokerzive that most of the games are 1/1 usd, are the games at least a little deep?

I dont play live often but I've been to most the casions here. If you are checking the site in the morning or early afternoon it will usually be dead outside of weekends. At night there will almost always be 25/50kc running at ambassador and usually 50/100kc at the hilton. The games play usually with 400bb max buyins so yeah they are deep. Its not uncommon for higher games to run, but a fish has to be up for it.

Sadly, the best action is all the way in Rozvadov. I still don't understand how so much action is in the middle of nowhere.

Terminal 1 of Prague Airport is goofy.

I scanned my boarding pass, passport, had my pic taken by that machine but didn't see a security checkpoint before the duty free shop. I walked in without getting my carry on bags scanned.

It's actually pleasant but at the same time surprising. I mean I guess the cops with machine guns will take care of things if they go bad.

EDIT: Carry on check at the gate. Very weird setup

Thank you!

regarding Rozvadov; i guess because its a huge casino and since they regularly have high stakes guys over there and other well known poker faces a lot of recreationals visit to see some of those guys. Heard that they treat their players nice, free meals and drinks

Most of casinos treat their players like **** so doesnt really suprise me if Rozvadov is successful

If I end up living in Prague, it'll likely be starting this summer. If you need a flatmate then, let me know.
