Hey, I am going to check out both Atlantic City and Marriott tonight, so more on this tomorrow... But PLO was a smaller game (at least it was last year) while the big game (equivalent to 15-30 USD, I believe...) was NLHE.

Alright, here it goes : there was 2 tables running at Atlantic City, both 5-5 PEN NLHE (min BI of 300). No traces of the previous 50-100 game (not surprising, as it seemed to be the same 10 regs and how long can such a game survive, right...) and they moved da pokerz to a smaller section with only 3 tables available. It looked meh and tournaments will only be back starting April 26

I would recommend the casino in the Marriott instead where 3 tables were going, 2 x 5-5 NLHE (min BI of 300, no max), rake 4% capped at 33PEN and one table of 5-10, 5 card PLO (min BI of 1000, 3% rake). Food and beverages free (not sure on the alcohol though and if it is access to the full menu...).

NP friend And to add to the above : it is better to do your currency exchange from USD$ to PEN in casinos then banks (or at least the Marriott), as they charge zilch on fees. So you can show up and buy-in with your USD and cash out with PEN, for example.

Another note : they now have massage ladies at the Marriot (saw 3 yesterday) and it costs 50 PEN for 30 minutes, 100 PEN for an hour.

Nice, thanks for sharing. Do you know if you can exchange back or cash out in USD at the casino?

Yup, you can change back to USD or PEN, which is pretty darn cool, as you get to fade the standard 2% currency exchange fees (or the ATM ones, for that matter) I believe it is only these 2 currencies though (and not sure if Atlantic City does it)...

Updates on the 5-10-20 PLO 5 card game :

- The game runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday and is seemingly consisting of 10 or so players...
- Min BI is 1000 which most players choose to do, but then rebuy for 2k once busted, 3k etc.
- It is a 35 PEN/h seat charge.
- Tipping in big pots is a standard of 5 PEN.
- All food is free as are beverages.
- Most players choose to run-it-twice.

Additional info :

- Ehhhhh you really need to watch out for the dealers who listen to what the (local) players state, as they might unsuspectedly push your pot in the wrong direction at showdown (especially when we run-it-twice).

- Not sure about what the limits are to withdraw at the casino, but so far 1500USD$ is a success and double that seems feasible as well... No fees outside of the ones occurred by the conversion from your bank.

- They do keep an eye on you as far as food and beverages goes and this presumably goes with the reputation of the players/stakes they play/frequency they attend the casino.

Great there are no fees but is the actual conversion rate close to market rate?
I usually find places like this shave around up to 10% from market rate.

It is idem, yes. They do monitor which games you are playing, inspect upon check-out etc. for money laundering. They also limit your withdrawal depending on which game you play.
