How long does it take to get from there to the casinos or wherever you are playing?
I used to go around midday to Okada for the series and it was like 25-30min by car but only 10-15min to get back to BGC at night with no traffic.

Although Saccombank which seem to be lowest fee, there is max cashout for 3 million VND so yeah some more fee if u cashout for rent n bills as you need to do 2-3 withdrawals. You get like 1% cashback everytime use the card for supermarket, shopping, booking hotels etc.

There is maybe better ways, but I doubt it.

Regarding visarun every 3rd month, my first run I could apply my next visa before it expired and some american living here said it was the same for him. The 2nd visarun I got application rejected and had to wait in Cambodia until it expired. On a positive note it went fast after I updated my application and no extra nonsense.
Ok so spell it out for me like I'm slow. I wouldn't be able to pay for rent by transferring the landlord straight from my UK bank acc ? And same for groceries etc, I can't just tap my contactless for all this stuff?

I doubt that would be an option, so you need cashout and we went thru all the banks here. Saccombank seemed to be lowest fees. Then you use cash mostly for eat out and stuff like that. While if u go to supermarket or some fancier stores u can use your card and get a juicy 1% cashback ; P Same for online shopping, booking hotel, flight and so on.

I think revolut would be the best choice, I use it for pokerstars aswell and get instant withdrawals, takes max 10min sometimes.

If there is better option someone can enlighten us.

Typing this while grinding n my english sux but yeah

Overall you gonna spend 350$ every 3 months just for visa, flights and your hotel. Then that's 20 days that you gonna spend doing forced visa runs every year. So yea Vietnam is cool but there are much better alternatives in the region if you want to live long-term here.

And if you check for the visa it used to be 25$ for 3 months and 4 working days pre Covid time but if you start to apply you gonna see that the prices are totally different, they are really greedy AF now.

You don't have to do all that. I've been getting my visa pre-approved without leaving the country. Just use an agent....costs like an extra $10 and go about business as usual. I do bus visa runs every 3 months. Everything is same same as before if you know what you're doing.

In February this year from what I heard it was not possible, got confirmation in expats living in Da Nang group on FB as well, it might have changed since then. Anyway I just spent something like 2 and half month there then moved somewhere else. How much do you spend for a visa run total? just curious.

My friend moved to Da Nang and will stay there for a while. He needs to find a way to get USDT into dong consistently. Any idea what's the best way to do that?

He opened a bank account and wanted to do P2P on Binance, is that an option?

Any help is appreciated.

Had a currency exchange shop on My Khe Beach earlier this year who was doing usdt exchange for super small fees run by a Vietnamese dude. I did a few exchanges with him outside the shop opening hours and the Vietnamese dude would come in my lobby building and we would do the exchange there, no extra fees. His shop closed now but he told me that he was planning to close it soon and that if I wanted he would come to Starbucks or lobby entrance building to do exchanges if I needed it. I still have his number I can pm it to you if you want. But if your friend has a local bank account I would probably stick with p2p exchanges like Binance, Kucoin or Localcoinswap, more security than exchanging IRL. Depending on the country you can find some traders offering super low fees for usdt/btc to bank. But be aware that if a Vietnamese are sending you money you might have problems with your local bank once you receive it, that's communism for you. I had this problem years ago with my ex gf and my bank sent back the vnd to my ex gf after asking me why and proof of legit business transaction etc. Not sure how this gonna work with crypto there. If international traders no problem but local ones might be problematic if you are a foreigner.

Just checked on Google maps searching for currency exchange usdt and there is a new one offering usdt for vnd exchange.

An other possibility you can check in the Chinese community there if some shops offer crypto exchange, there are the ones doing all the crypto exchanges in Phnom Penh for ex from currency exchange shops to noodles restaurants to clothes/watches shops

"Kim My Kim" is still at An Thuong, just moved to a new building on the same street. Seems disapperad from google maps. They are next to Tingting fresh juice on Le Lo street.

Usually usdt sells higher on p2p.binance than usd sells at a goldshop, which might make you think their fee is smaller than it is.

Uhh I booked a flight to Hanoi for Sunday as I'd need to do a visa run and completely forgot about the typhoon and flooding, does it make any sense to stay a few nights right now or should I just stay close to the airport and take the next flight back?

Fyi Danang sucks during winter, especially November, while it's the best time for Saigon-Bangkok latitute.

I haven't played there since before covid, but all of the games were in a legal gray zone then. It's probably still the same now. My impression at the time was that they are likely bribing officials to stay open, but if for any reason someone with any power wanted to shut them down it would be very easy to say they are breaking the law.
