Da Nang, Nha Trang or Vung Tau. All this cities have their pros and cons, Nha Trang has the nicest beaches, Da Nang is the biggest city compared to the other two. Vung Tau is not popular for the foreigners, 99% of the tourists there are Viets from Saigon who go there for the weekend, so if you live there you will be "special" because not a lot of westerners live in this city, the pros of Vung Tau is the cheap cost of high-end apartments compared to Da Nang / Nha Trang and if you live there you are not far from Saigon (2 hours bus trip, ~100k one way).

Guys, question about the salons in HCMC. I see many beautiful ladies in those places. I watched a video on Youtube, these 2 Vietnamese guys go to get their hair cut and these girls are giving him a massage, (his arms, hands and head, I think) while another girl is washing is hair, cutting it., later they go upstairs for a full body massage.

I have never seen this before, is that normal, like do they know those guys or does everybody get that rockstar treatment?

Also do those girls do other things, like BJ or sex? Or do you have to go to other places for that?

How easy is it date those girls ( incase they are not hookers but normal girls, I might be interested to date them). Are they approachable at all? Do they speak English, on a scale of 1-10 how good is their english usually?

Tell me about those girls, are they like the best talent from around the country that decide to work in those places? I mean some were really hot, model hot, I wonder wtf they are doing in such a place?

I am guessing the youtube shots are in dist. 1 which likely meant these are just legit place to get haircut and facial and upstairs for regular massages. No they don't give you BJ+ and not even HJ. Think about it if they invest like 5k for boobs and 3.5k for nose job etc. Why work at these place for X amount for BJ. They could go straight to making XX at japanese dist. for full service. Or better if they are smarter they would go for the long game and get sponsor XXXX by rich Asian business by working as bartender/hostess etc. Also think of these girls as commodity(no offense) you usually can't differential since cosmetic surgery are quite cheap compare to the amount of time they can make it back. So don't fall in love just for looks. Get to know them and see if they actually can have regular conservation without giggling nonsense.

Those girls you probably see are probably in the middle of the pack where they aren't fully upgrade or too old/too young(lack of experience) so they stuck in the waiting for foreigner to come in and ask them to go on dates after the haircut/facial and spend money on shopping/couple of date. Most likely you aren't the only one and they have a couple of options to choose from. It also depend on the economy lately the rich older Asian guys been flooding the market with money so these girls obviously will take the short term +ev option over the younger broker westerner/vietkieu.

edit: those haircut brothel would never let anyone film them.

Why is it naive? I'm talking about the non hookers, I think what DonJuan says is probably correct and there are many places that offer only massage or haircut, these girls haven't had 100 dicks in their mouth, they seem date-able or not?

Thanks brother, I will link 1 from youtube, to show you what I mean. Some good advice from you. So the girls from the normal salon/ massage places, these girls are wearing traditional dresses, they are mostly legit?

I have now watched many more videos form HCMC. I have a much clearer picture now. I see that many hairdressers are undercover brothels. They line up many girls in a private room. Hahaha, I didn't even know, it was like this. This Japanese dude is making some great films: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_GM1E0KxSk

I think he shows normal massage girls but I have seen another Youtuber show the brothels here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhXwOXFPIjY

Is this correct, the girls in the 1st video from the Japanese guy, are these girls approachable for dates, Don? I am looking for 25-30 year old women, not for marriage but for dating first, maybe later marriage. From your post, are you saying these women are eager to find a man, because they are getting too old for Asian ages?

I don't mind if they are playing the field, as I intend to do that as well. What I am less excited about is a girl that sucks 100 dicks a month . I don't want to be judgmental and I honestly don't care if that's how they make a living, just rather not be in a relationship with such a girl.

I know in Thailand many are freelancers, even if they have a normal job. How is Vietnam in that regard? How would be the best way to find modern women, not conservative but also not a whore?

I figured hitting on waitresses or these massage girls would be the best way, do you suggest anything else?

Also, I checked out VietCupid or w/e the dating site, and the women are so ugly on that site compared to the ladies from the massage places or salons. Why is that, I read so many blogs that advertise to go on that dating site but I can't imagine banging any of those.

Most women here get married around 25yo max, so if you are in your twenties or early thirties you should date women who are 25yo max cuz the women older are usually still single for a reason (red flag), of course some of the 26+yo girls are still GF/wife material but by dating older women your chances of finding a gem decrease.

Best way would be to avoid dating girls that you meet in bars or nightclubs, use applications like Zalo or Skout and search for women in your area. You could also do K2d super technique: walking in central shopping and give top secret notes (FB friend request - your FB name - [insert Smiley here]) to cute girls, Vietnamese women love bubble tea so you could also do that in bubble tea shops where they love to hangout with their friends.

Forget about blogs, they will tell you to use online dating sites via their affiliate links cuz $$$

yeah those are in jap. dist. are all full service apparently. It quite interesting since I remember just a few years ago there were a lot of crack down on full service and all the sudden I came back and was told by a few 2+2 that those are legit.

If you want to date go to napoly bar or Mz bar around 8 pm. Those bartender are pretty hot and they are going for the long game. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaura...Minh_City.html https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaura...Minh_City.html . Recommend to go with at least another dude cause it just plain weird/red flag for those girls to ever come out. Also they are never going on first date by themselves they going to bring their coworkers just to run the bill up if they think you are a fish.

I have a trip to HCMC planned for next tuesday (19/3) to get a thai student visa at the thai consulate there. I booked hotels and tickets already and requested my evisa. The thing is that today I got an email from the evisa service telling me the passport scan and the number I entered on the form didnt match and I realized I uploaded a scan of my old passport I had on my PC and not the current one with a different number. I updated the passport scan today at 5pmish, but it says it can take up to 3 working days to process the application and I only have full friday, and full monday as Im leaving on tuesday morning.

I sent a message on the "Contact Us" page of the evisa website explaining the situation but Im not sure if that's gonna help or not.

What alternative do I have? I saw a couple of websites that offer "express services" (within 1 day or even a few hours) to get me a invitation letter (which im not even sure if it's what I need) for something like 50 bucks (this site and this site for example). They look like visa agents. Has anyone tried either of those or has another one to recommend?

Im kinda desperate as I have the thai visa deadline (have to leave Thailand next week yes or yes) and dont really wanna miss my hotel booking + tickets (also my gf coming with me, and she booked a ticket too that would be wasted as well) so I dont know what my best option is. Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

Pretty sure that they are working on weekends too, usually they are only not working on Public Holiday, so it should take up to 3 working days starting tomorrow when their office is open = this Sunday max you should receive your papers via email. Wait until tomorrow to see what they will answer you back but it should be ok.

If you have any problems or for next trip, I would recommend you this website (number 1 in Google search, never had any problems with them), you can get your visa application there in max 4 hours for 37$.

If i read this right, you gave the Vietnam evisa site the wrong photo correct? IF thats the case then you can pay for a private and expedited evisa approval letter. it is not that expensive to hire on site assistance too for when you land and need to pick up the vietnam visa. That process is fairly straight forward though. If the site you used is not responding you could try to order the expedited approval letter from another evisa service site. the vietnam visa station in the airport is open on weekends but the thai consulate is not.

Yes, that is correct. My plan right now is to wait until monday morning, if I dont get the confirmation by then Ill use the websitethat GonZo72 recommended and pay the 37 bucks to get it done in 4h.

@GonZo72: That fee is for a visa or for a approval letter? If its the second, do I have to pay the 37 dollars + the 25 of the visa fee when I arrive? And is there any chance Ill have problems with the airline when taking the plane here in Thailand?

Similar happened to me, when I showed up at the airport with an invitation letter for the wrong passport they made me pay 50 usd and i had an appropriate invitation letter in 15 minutes.

Your results may vary though.

im pretty sure you will still have to pay the $25usd upon arrival. At the airport in Thailand if hey ask for the letter just show them the first one or maby print your receipt for the potential new one. I would plan on giving yourself some extra time at the airport before you depart just in case there is an issue

Yea 37 USD for the super urgent approval letter + 25 USD upon arrival for your visa (can pay in VND or USD). You shouldn't have problems with the airline if you have your approval letter (with the right passport number, your new passport not your old one)

many online website services, you get emailed your visa but still have to wait in this ****ty side line before doing immigration and there is no one directing or helping when you arrive. some offer that service for extra fee

I think I go it. So you can apply online and get the letter emailed, then you simply fly into HCMC and you give them the letter and then pay the stamp in.
