So last few pages of post are about females and role in the universe. Dont care about any of that. I live in Vegas looking to travel. Looking for information. I did read first thread, however almost 10 years old and may not be accurate today. I am planning on leaving the states to play, explore. Online is relatively new for me. If I bust it is ok. Im working on it. Online MTT's. Im been asking question in MX threads, and Thailand, and now Vietnam. The whole routine to make a long trip to SEA. I have been to Thailand 2 times and Philippines 2 times. I love all of it. Seems like Thailand is a real mess to stay more then 2 months at a time. Even w a 6 month visa. You have to leave every 2 and come back a couple days later. From what I see in Vietnam it can keep re uping w/o leaving? I think Philippines is also possible for longer stays without leaving. I have friends there. Cambodia I heard you can just keep re upping. But I think some sites do not work there? I could be wrong. Can someone who is current w Vietnam shed light on process. I have been looking into MX, but only temp due to borders being shut down. I have seen some places might be able to get a visa with permission and still go during Covid. Thailand like this I think. I emailed consulate. I have never been to Vietnam. Always wanted to go. IMO has more beautiful girls then the rest of SEA by percentage. Philippines speaks the best english, but I have been there. Want to post up somewhere new. I think to just wing it when I leave country but when comes to a 6 mon-indefinite move, I am doing as much research as possible. Please help. I have 2 months to figure this out. This is when lease up in Vegas and I have to make a decision. MX is the easiest to relocate especially from Vegas, but I prefer Asia. Yellow fever. Also banking etc...hard to read through 84 pages of posts. Thank you I would give personal contact if in states and have done this already and are back or facebook video call or something.

New immigration laws will take effect next month, no more 90 days e-visa only 30 days visa that you will be able to extend two times so max 90 days total allowed to stay then you will have to do a visa run. Normal extension prices pre coronavirus from last year:

If you do the math, it should costs you ~$1.5k to live here 1 year, not so great. For less than that you can have better long-term visas in the region.

Now for when the borders in SEA will reopen for international tourism, best case scenario the fourth quarter of this year, first for Asian countries then ROW.

Quote:
When other Asian countries announce the pandemic as ending, Việt Nam will launch a communication campaign "Vietnam NOW - Safety and Smiling" – a tourism stimulus programme with preferential packages for domestic and Asian tourists.

The industry will restructure the international tourist markets to Việt Nam and focus on promoting travel to countries without the pandemic, especially for business travel.

It has also proposed the Government to consider policies to create favourable conditions for tourists to Việt Nam, including visa exemptions or visa fee reductions, increasing flights and opening new routes to foreign countries.

That seem promising. I read article. So this means posted prices will more then likely change and might make easier to get a visa or longer stay and travel costs cut to promote tourism. Downside seems like Ill be going to MX for at least a couple months as this seems like going to be awhile.?

Those are unofficial prices to get an extension through an agent. The idea of July 1st E-visa thingy is that now we will be getting extensions at the immigration directly. So the price should be the official stamp price, which is just 10 usd (they may hike that up though).

But, well, it depends, we will see what really happens.

So those numbers are for visa holders already in country. I think Cambo might be better for visas. We will see once borders open and visas start again. Technically you get one now, but super expensive with medical ins. and having to deposit 3K in local bank plus mandatory shots etc... So once settles we will see. Thanx for the info. I have been checking for updates everyday for all of SEA. Nothing has changed in a week. Still same requirements as of today.

I would be very surprised if it becomes cheaper to live here (visa/extension talking) compared to last year. I would be as surprised if pokerstars would decreases the rake tomorrow.. But yea, let's wait and see.

Yes, this prices are from last year (July 2019) for visa holders who were already in the country.

low to moderate chances of getting pulled over at some point, keep 200k - 500k on you for a fine. Need a Vietnamese license to be legal however you can get a 50cc bike that allows you to drive freely without any license I believe.

Are there any poker venues in HCMC, Da Nang or Hanoi?

Most of the info you can read online is old and inaccurate. I know Da Nang has the VSOP soon, but I will be missing it by a few days unfortunately.

I'm not looking for highstakes, just wanna have some fun.

Thanks in advance
