I just wanna make sure I have this correct, when I go into Vietnam, I will get a 15 day visum. If i wanna extend, I would have to pay 330 dollars for a 3 months extension, after that, I have to leave the country and do the same thing all over. Correct?

https://theculturetrip.com/asia/viet...sa-in-vietnam/

I read this here, but not sure if this is correct and its from january 2018..

Edit on this site https://voavietnam.net/ its 50 dollars for a multipe entry, is this correct? Im confused..

use one of the hundreds of online website for visa, can even pay small fee for someone to meet you at immigration and handle paperwork. can get 3 month single or muti entry much cheaper then 330. can then use one of the many visa shop for monthly extension (starts off around 50 a month then goes up every month, capping around 200)

actually think the 1 year multi entry business is around 300 usd

i used vietnam-visa.com

hcm real estate more expensive then bkk/pattaya. most places in any central district will run you about 800 us a month. there are some out of the way serviced apartments like in phu nhuan close to airport for around 550-600 a month but i dont recommend any as they are far away and have hard beds, shared internet that goes to **** at around 7 pm

there is an expact hcm serviced apartment facebook group. you will see places listed around 400-500 but those are for 6 month+ contracts. and i cant recomend any of them really.

The laws are always changing but lately people are allowed to extend their tourist visa up to 3 times without living the country, ~300$ for a 3 months extension.

300? So what happens if I try one of these 50$ or less sites for visa? You need to leave the country for everytime?

i got the 3 month single entry for $75~. extended it monthly after that for a total stay of 8 months without leaving. there are local visa shops that will do extension you just drop off passport and pay fee. at the end i was paying 200 a month.

smart money gets the 1 year multi entry business

Isnt the 1 year visa only for Americans? And how can you get a business visa if you dont do any business?

You need one (tourist visa) to come here. Then if you have a 3 months tourist visa you can extend it via an agent here for an other 3 months (~300$ per 3 months extension) so UNLESS THE LAWS CHANGE you can stay here without living the country : 3 months tourist visa + 3x3 months extensions = 12 months. For a cost of 50$ 3 months tourist visa + 3x300$ 3 months extension = 950$.

1 year business visa (for non americans) got suspended by the government last year.

Okey thank you! So If I do the 3 month online via a agency before I enter the country, I will have to pay 300$ ish at the airport? So that I can get the 15 days visa free and then the 3 months extension? And for my next 3 months I would have to go to a agent in my city.

Many people do a visa run to the nearest land border every 3 months.
20-25 usd for the invitation letter, 25 or 50 usd as the visa fee (single vs multi-entry), plus Cambodia/Laos visa for ca 30 usd. Much cheaper than the 300 usd extension, though it takes a full day.

No.
If you want 15 days visa free entry, then you don't pay anything. No need agency, nothing to pay at the airport. But if you are likely to stay more than 15 days, it's better to get a visa instead.

To get a visa on arrival: First you pay a visa agent (one of those websites) to get an invitation letter. It costs about 25 usd.
Then you fly into the airport, fill a form, and pay 50 usd for 3 months multi-entry visa, or 25 usd for single entry visa.
That's it.

That 300ish fee is when you want to extend your stay without leaving the country. Relatively expensive, which is why it is better to get a 3 months visa instead of entering 15-days visa free.

What visa would I have to choose for this, so that I have to leave the country every 3 months? 3 months single entry?

So when I enter Vietnam now, I will get 3 months for 75 dollars ish if I choose single entry?

Edit: Just saw ur last post, yes, I will stay more than 15 days. So I will choose the single entry 3 months then. Thank you!

Hey guys. Am thinking of heading over for the APT in July. Noticed in the small print there is a 10% tax on winnings (after buy in back) which affects ROI quite a lot with travel expenses etc already. Is this for all games/casinos? For example if you played cash one night and made profit you'd have to pay the 10% from your winnings?

Cheers

Based on limited experience in cash you pay 10% of your buyin, that is the rake, no other rake, that is kind of their way to deal with the regs. I don't think it would uphold much scrutiny, not that it matters in this part of the world anyway.
Obviously this way of collecting the rake affects strat considerations (no you cant buy in short, minimum was 100 BB or so IIRC). I didnt play tourneys.

I've been there plenty of times and I like it. Danang has two clubs, Win poker and Sokha. Both are decent places. Sokha has higher stakes compared to Win. You should check out both. Happy to answer if you have any specific questions.
