These are poor dog eat dog places, people are highly emotional, habitual liars, unashamed beggars and scammers, the lower classes like to verbally lash out at foreigners, they are very vengeful over the smallest things and don't necessarily act in rational ways, which makes risks hard to assess and if I would ever have to go back to South East Asia I would do my best to interact with as few people as possible and act the biggest beta I can as a tall white guy, without letting my guard down to maximize my chances of long term survival and even that is no guarantee if someone smells money or just hates foreigners and you live in a smaller place.

Costs of living are spiraling out of control world wide, more and more lower class people are on the edge and foreigners are the easiest targets, whether it's french muslims robbing and murdering chinese people or filipinos instigating arguments and shooting foreigners that talk back.

Even here in north east asia I don't go to party anymore. Too many western femnazis stirring up drama, too many crazy local women, too many angry frustrated guys. (no money, stuck in dead end jobs, not getting laid, unable to afford to buy a shoebox apartment)

And the Phils has the BY FAR the worst/uninspiring expats I have ever encountered

I get that more from the locals. In Bangkok you both get a lack of respect and a feeling of entitlement towards your money, with the only exception being fresh from the countryside girls, but smartphones are quickly closing this gap everywhere.
