I have this thing in poker that when im up 3-10 buy ins in a session, I tend to loose it very fast again, its almost like I play different when Im up and feel like I have to keep winning, so it might make me play looser Im not sure, I have been focused on it but it keeps happening over and over again.

The last few days I started to simply to do some small withdrawals to my neteller account after im up, it feels like it resets my mind and it seems to be helping when I play.

Ofcourse it shouldnt effect me if im up or down, but it seems to be helping against the swings. Any input on this?

If you play PLO you better have an iron stomach for huge swings.

I haven't played any poker in years but I can imagine a hugely negative graph for 3-4 months being a losing player running way under EV.

It's not for the faint of heart, that's for sure...

Even in fairly low variance SnG formats where I was among the top winning players I had two losing months in total playing 6h pretty much every day with large volume.

On upwork as a totally unskilled person you can do customer support for $500 a month just like filipinos but that will barely get you by as a westerner in SEA and depending on the job you might even work 6 days a week, which basically turns you into a slave.

2000$ a month these days is not easy at PLO especially on plo25. If you need help i can go over your stats and few hands...

Honestly if you're not super concerned about spending time learning a bit and you want the freedom + a career that could be lucrative even on the low/mid end of things just start learning javascript, some c+ and get really comfortable with python. Lots of work (portable at that) to be had and potentially well paid too

I looked into python and this stuff earlier, truth is I really have no interest in it, so probably a stupid idea to stard spending hundreds of hours into learning it for me. Clearly a better option than poker if you like that stuff tho.

As someone that has lived in both Cebu and Manila, which one do you like more? What are the pros/cons of living in Manila vs Cebu?

Cant really say I lived in Manila, stayed only a few nights.

In some places in Manila you will get more the exotic factor of being a white male. Like in Quezon it seemed like they had never seen a white man before, kinda weird when you walk down the streets, see a group of girls who just hangs out, one of them sees you walking towards them and 3 seconds later all of them turns around and looks at you. When you walk past them you hear "Heeeey babe" and such. Kinda funny. Stuff like this didnt happen that much in Cebu.

I dont think there is that much different if you stay in one of the nicer areas, like Makati compared to IT park, I think! The partylife is probably alot better in Manila, it seemed very bad in Cebu.. The pros of Cebu is obv all the options you have outside the city, the islands, Oslob and such. Also alot easier to get out of Cebu than Manila. A bit less traffic in Cebu and its not so big compared to Manila, so easier to move around. Read somewhere that internet is better in Manila.

Cebu wins for me, but if I stayed in Makati etc and had the money to spend, It might change my mind.

Back to normal in PLO, losing pretty much everything when Im ahead. Ran A high flush into two straight flushes today and top boat vs quads.

One thing, after I left Panglao earlier and was heading to Cebu again, I had to extend my visa, so this chick I was with told me I should do it in Tagbilaran instead of Cebu since probably less ppl and faster, I say ok.

So I get to this place and the lady tells me to draw a map of where I had my address, Im like wtf and I just drew the whole Island Bohol and put an X of where I had been staying the last few days, obv this wasnt good enough and she just laughs at me and tells me it has to be excact like in google maps and like 100x100meters, so they can find it there or something. So I try to draw this two times from google maps, both times its not good enough, after two failed attempts I tell her Im not some ****ing art student, clearly annoyed by this, she ends up drawing this map for me, didnt look like it was her first time doing this.

After this they also need the email adress AND phone number of the owner of the place Im staying, takes me like 30 mins to get this. After I wrote that down for them, they tell me that I have to come back the day after to pick up my passport?! I had tickets to the ferry the same day allready so I say f this, grab my passport and leave after 3 hours in that place. Ended up fixing it in Cebu, much easier.

I dont know what to do with this plo ****, sooooooo many times that it gets in on turn and they hit the 2/3/4 outer, I always think it cant happen again, but yet over and over again, it has been over 30k hands now :/ This is not some flipping hands, they are waay behind. All these hands started after the update of PP, huhhhh..

I mean, I feel your pain bro, but any online pro that plays for 5 years+ (which is not many, granted), will go through stretches of 300k+ hands of B/E, while being top crushers. It gets really - like FRACKING REALLY nasty - and then just when you thought it was impossible to get worst, you get a runner-runner perfect str8 flushed after flopping quads The good news is that if you make it beyond such a stretch, the next one will barely dent you emotionally I hope you run good soon.

thats normal, last 150k hands or so i had two 40bi downswings and im among the best winners at my stakes on a big sample

you will also have stretches when you run like God, maybe you had one before the downswing but you were not aware of it

its just the way PLO works

way to much work to bang hot girls in vietnam. in thailand im doing ~4 a week with no repeats and little to no effort. also property was stupid overinflated pricing in saigon. i may be interested to try a place like da nang for a bit. but think id much prefer to visit cebu first.
