To be fair to betonline it isnt the worst site of all USA facing sites just the worst of the ones that payout in a decent timeframe. That network is most likely the the third best for USA poker. Sites like carbon have absurd cash out times and lie to new customers about how long the cash outs take. Betonline has good cash out times which is important.

I mean, if Stars actually stole money by axing Supernova Elite and not giving enough advanced notice about it, they would be liable for a lawsuit. I'm fairly sure everything they did was legal, even if they may have had to jump through a few loopholes for that to be true.

Bottom line is they're a publicly traded company with share holders. The entire point of the company being sold to Amaya was so business could be conducted in a more by the books, over the table, legal way. They are supposed to be MORE legitimate now than before, not less.

I understand why you and others don't like what they did, but that doesn't mean it was illegal.

Not paying players out, for whatever reason, would be illegal, and there is no reasonable argument that they are likely to do that.

There is definitely a competency issue at hand, but that doesn't mean one should assume they are more likely to do things that are out right illegal.

Just like no one would expect Pokerstars to do anything illegal like not paying out players, however if the site got shut down it's very possible they do something shady again if it is in their best interests.

The point of Amaya purchasing Stars was NOT transparency, it was money.

Of course nothing their doing is illegal you sign a huge TOS that covers them for everything they do that would be. Regardless it was on their website what the SNE rewards would be for the next year. They stole from players what they earned. Pokerstars in 2007 would have never done that. Also they steal money by lowering the value of everybodys FPPs.

Stars is completey diff company now. They tell you everybody is getting 4 million dollar freerolls which they've had for years. Try to spin it like there changes are to help players. Stars CS used to be amazing its what made them number one. Email customer service with a problem nowadays its nothing like it used to be.

I used to put stars above all the other sites. Not anymore their shady just like the rest of the sites.

The point is Stars is run as a legitimate business much more so than a lot of the other sites. To say Stars is equally as shady as sites that are still running illegally in the US, is simply lol.

I think what you're calling shadiness is actually just incompetence that exists because most of the people making the big decisions at Stars now aren't really poker people.

As far as the whole transparency thing goes, I distinctly remember at the time one of the reasons the deal was made with Amaya was so Stars would be able to return to the U.S. market by no longer having the stain on it that it had after Black Friday.

In any event, it clearly is more transparent now than it was before, regardless of whether or not that was one of the reasons the deal happened.

888 is pretty much dead right now, only 4 holdem games worht playing...... only plo running is 1-2 but there is uber fish so i sit down

uberfish is to my left so i buy in short to limp repot........ first time playing above .25-.50 PLO on 888 and apparently PLO is the same as holdem for the higher stakes, there is only one fish at the table the rest are pretty tight, no good limp repot spots

i get two hands vs the fish, i limp AQJ3 he raises only one caller not enough to repot in so i call flop AJ10ss i have 2nd nut spades other checks i check fish bets other folds i shove he calls bottom set and holds

i limp AAK8ccc six people see J65cc fish is sb and pots out 12 other calls i have 70 stack and pot it to 60 fish calls with J843 no clubs....... fish wins again

i flopped two pair and a gutshot vs a guy that had 3bet full pot out of the sb on J53.... I had AJ43..... little did i know the sb considered KQJ5 a 3betting hand

flopped Q86 i had QJ109 vs uber uber fish...... oh look his QQ63 flopped top set in 4 way 3bet pot....... and i brick out obv

i tried to bluff one of the few players i thought was good enough to fold a hand........ i bricked my draw but other draw hit, was K65ss flop turn J riv 9........ 9 fills out quite a big flopped draw...... he snap calls riv with two pair for full pot

option A = hate my life for the next 2 years, play poker like a sweatshop and be on a quota to play as many hands as possible, get as many rushes as i can in over the next 2 years, get the 20% rakeback that will be extremely hard to get because......

apparently if you are an 8/4 no one will ever play back at you and your bets get respect, but once i went so crazy as to be like a 14/7 now i get raised off everything in holdem, and since i am in get raped by 888 month i just lose lose lose lose lose because regs never let me win a pot, so i have to play uber nitty again and getting fpps will be hard

of course if i start making hands again then regs trying to 'outplay' me all the time will be great, i will finally get money out of people that never gave me money last year....... but i doubt that will be how it plays out, they have a really good ability to know what i have even if i bet the same sizes and do the same things with big/weak hands

also the games are really awful now and now is supposed to be the best time of the year...... so if i cant even get 6 holdem tables running right now in 'cold in winter months' how the F am i going to get 6 in the dead spring times.......

the positive of option A is my life roll EV 2 years from now would be in the 50k-60k range and i would move to columbia and have a 1k a month hooker budget and **** 10 curvy columbians a month

option B = **** poker, play out this downswing, get 1 more rush, cashout from 888 and dont come back until i actually NEED money again, if i ever get down to a 15k life roll again then i would start to play as i dont want to start again if under 10k and actually have any 'need money now' pressure

problem is i can really only make like 1200 a month tops this way, but i could write hella ebooks hehehe

I reckon you'll last way longer than 7 years then, especially if the blog starts bringing more dough or if you cut the hooker budget by half. In fact, I think a $60K liferoll is sustainable almost eternally in a country as poor as Colombia.

i think you underestimate how long you can run way below ev. i'll create a new graph, but i'm still 140+ buy ins below ev over what must be 200k hands now.
