I only put 5k in them to see what happens but i think i missed the boat on the big gains and hopped in as they were hitting the bubble.

Now im reading about this Aug 1st thing that could either raise or lower the price a ton. I'm thinking if they go back down alot on Aug 1st im going to jump back on them. I have a feeling their going to keep dropping until that gets sorted out though. Seems better to just invest my money on Mayweather for the sure thing.

Whats the cryptovets takes on it?

I get paid from poker site in bitcoins, i dont buy them. Rather then turn all the bitcoin straight into cash as i normally would when i rec them i decided to hold onto some to see if they went up in value. They were mostly going down and as i was holding them i was researching them more i found out they may keep going down and down. So unless they drastically jump up and not down before August 1st i did it right.

I made the post to hear some thoughts of the guys who are actually heavy invested in cryptos thoughts about August 1st happenings. I remember you bragging about doubling your portfolio on here when we were talking about sports betting and saying "why are you guys talking about sports betting cryptosblablabla i make money" but rather then post replying with some thoughts to it you just go" buy high sell low, you did everything right".

I've read some people think bitcoin will go up to 4k by the end of the year after they drop in early August. So obv selling some seems smart if your holding onto serious money in them. Anyways for guys like me and K2D just thinking about getting into cryptos watching and seeing if they hit really low and getting on the train could be a good move.

Re: ok i try thread me again na

Well some say cryptos are going to go up again after Aug 1st, so right now is a great buying opportunity as they're so cheap at the mo, 155 ethereum, 131 dash, 40 litecoin, 1915 bitcoin. But who knows

Re: ok i try thread me again na

All of you guys buying and then selling at the 1st drop what's going on? You know you are buying at a peak but of course it may just continue to rise, that's why you bought it. Buying with this much hype around it you have to realize you may get burned but this should just be money that you're willing to lose. Just go down with the ship with hopes that there will be a major bounce back in the next YEAR or two. Not month or two.

Re: ok i try thread me again na

look guys
this is not rocket science

cryptos is a long term play
buy mostly bitcoin and a couple of solid ****coins
then just sit on it for a couple of years
youll either lose it all or youll be ****ing rich

youd have to be absolutely retarded to sell right now
i wouldnt even think about selling before 2020

For me personally I had to move some money from gaming site to bank account. Decided ill hold some of it in bitcoin rather then load it into bank like usual. Then research alot about cryptos see Aug 1st nobody knows if they'll go up or down. Then decided ill wait to see what happens on the 1st rather then gamble on something i have no idea about hoping to run good on what the miners are going to do.

If they go down a ton on the 1st i can get my hands on them at a lower price point. If they go up i lost out on a small % from my initial poker cashout.

You could just use the ill hold forever theory. This is what i see a ton of people writing on reddit their doing. If reddit bitcoin strat is anything like their poker strat i dont want to be doing what their doing. Theirs something to be said that selling them when they hit 3k(if you had them) and then buying back in when they go down again for the even more profit is the most +ev play. I've read a couple of articles that predict they drop down to 1500 and go back up a ton in the future for example.

i thought south park had really fallen off around 2010ish

just catching up on the last few seasons and they have totally crushed retarded society, like it a lot more when they have these long drawn out themes instead of just one off's every week

you do realize that not even warren buffet can time the markets?
noone can
but you might be the first one to pull it off

whats more likely though, youll FOMO in once it soars and buy close to the top
then youll panic sell when it crashes again
buy high, sell low is a meme for a reason

OR you could just dollar cost average your way in... with money that you can afford to lose
show some patience and hold that **** for a couple of years
you might lose everything or you might get rich
its still a gamble... but with way better odds than if you constantly tried to find the right entry/exit points
you only have to be right ONCE - instead of multiple times

but its your money...

Re: ok i try thread me again na

i think we can all agree this august 1st thing, whatever it is, isnt some standard situation

people have been talking about it for months, and everyone who invests in these knows about it

maybe you guys will be right, but im pretty confident there is going to be a better price in a week then there is today, if not oh well

you guys are talking like this is a tournament when playing a cash game

Re: ok i try thread me again na

i really enjoy the 'panic sold' comment as the thing in question goes from 400 to 140 in the matter of a few weeks, is an extremely risky investment that no one has any real idea how it will play out, and there is a key date on the horizon that could lead to more selling off in the very near future

only a pussy would even consider......

whether you are at a profit or a loss at the time is totally irrelevant, the right decision is the right decision and given all the facts on hand i would do the exact same thing again

its funny that last week yellowfever brought selling up and you said it was right, now all of a sudden it is wrong
