i dont know that i want to turn one of the few things i like in life into work..... when i used to sports bet it totally killed my enjoyment level for sports


that said i am totally miserable playing poker, i thought a break would help but 6 months of never losing and only having my bankroll go up (even if slowly) has made taking losses even worse

these next few months are going to be brutal on my sanity

if i do the other stuff full time (5ish hours a day but also bum hunting it so some days less other days more) i can make 1400ish a month if its good, its been a bit slower recently (and will be dead december/january)

it goes quite well with poker though, so if i part time both of them i can make maybe 1200ish a month at poker and 900ish a month at that

plus blog+ebooks

if all goes as planned i should be above 20k by the end of the winter poker season and will travel around so i can write many more ebooks, i will up my budget from 900 a month to 1500 a month during that time and treat myself to as many 8's or better as i can find as well

then i will pick the place i like the most and settle there with a 1200ish a month budget, hope the blog + ebooks cover as much of it as possible, and then do the boring online work and hopefully forget about poker


jspill is also teaching me with another super awesome amazing plan but he has a life and wont quit it to get this other thing going

there is this one jackpot chasing drooler named srdn on 888 now, he is pretty much driving all the action, any table he is at is great, i 6 table with him all night every night he has been on the past few weeks

i have to be down $500 to him, at first i was just trying to pot control vs him but inevitably he would river a gutshot, every time you check back turn he bets river so i do that.... and he hits gutshots and i pay him off (because vs other people he bricks and tries to steal)

so i decide **** this no more pot control i am going to fire big and if he hits so be it

30 mins later get KK make huge 3bet flop 983 he check calls big bet, turn J he checks I put him all in for a little more than pot, he fistpumps and snap calls with his QQ

oh sweet he hit another gutshot


i am going to be so ****ing miserable for the rest of this year

only good thing is i totally know his betting patterns now, he has the easiest to read major tells, but the jackpot will probably hit tomorrow and he will disappear with my $500 after passing it to the other regs

some things i have noticed after being back on poker for 3 weeks

the games during the daytime in asia are actually as good if not better then at night, fish seem to hop on whenever they are bored, where as regs are more scheduled to the 'better' night shift

the .25-.50 games on 888 are not even worth sitting in unless an already noted uber fish is at the table, i have mentioned this before i know, but low stakes are scared money and they are rock gardens


there was one semi fish jackpot chaser who min raised all the time pre, i tried to play small ball vs him and he hit so many friggin gutshots vs me, i then decide to 'make him pay' and like 5 minutes after i take the break and walk around and decide to be more aggro vs him we get KK vs QQ all in on J982 board....... he hits another gutter

after that i get a bit tilted and start playing back at him a lot, in that time i totally figured him out, he would almost always bet the river (i was following him on all 6 tables cuz he drove the action and since poker is dead you must follow anyone that drives the action, we played many hands)

so anyways he always would bet riv, and then i figure out that his half pot riv bet is weak, his 3/4th or full pot is strong, bluffed him like 4 times on the half pot ones succesfully

did i mention poker is dead? 60k jackpot in the 'peak' night time and not 1 playable game so i am bored and typing this

well this has been a fun day

so i wake up and there is some uber elite online work, like the type that comes around once every 6 months...... but im already in some really good poker games so i just do the online work on the side (even though it was so good i shouldnt have poker'ed)


i only play 2 tables, one of which is 1-2 that has 2 huge fish at it

fish A limps, fish B raises co with only a 100 stack, i call button AQ, other fish calls, flop A74hh fish B bets I raise fish A calls fish B calls turn 9d fish B shoves for his last 50ish I iso shove....... he has AAA

he then raises 60% of hands for the next hour and i get nothing, i get 66 he raises flop 954ss he bets i call turn Jh he bets I call riv Qs he bets small....... i rep the flush draw... he has 98ss for the flush, he just calls my riv raise

i then go out and bang some chick (more on that next week when bluegrass can help me with the deetz)


so then on my way home im texting with bg (always means disaster is coming)

i even tell him i need to nit it up cuz i feel bad **** coming on

within 5 minutes i get 4's vs the guy who i talked about in last post that always half pot bets weak hands, he raises flop A52 i call in pos turn 5 he bets half pot i call riv 7 he bets half pot i raise.... he has AK

he then chases on two other tables when i bet huge on flops and turns and he rivers the draw and full pots out twice and ihave to fold

then in 1-2 i limp early mid with 7s, other limps, aggro reg i have tons of history with (meaning his poker tracker says i am 9/5) raises to 11, i call other folds

flop 865r, i check he bets 15 i raise to 35 he calls, turn J i bet out big...... i have a set here 90% of the time, i would 3bet KK or QQ pre vs him........ there is basically no hand here that i limp call pre and check raise flop with other than a set 90% of the time....... he snap shoves AA i brick



then my nemesis (half pot better drooling idiot) limps ep, other guy raises to 6, i make it 16 off of 100 stacks with KK

drooler has a 100 stack and calls 15 more with 109 of diamonds

flop KQ6 all diamonds, i bet he shoves he holds

this ****ing clown hits ****ing everything vs me...... its complete ****ing bull****

so im uber tilted take a break cool down and nit it up

after 3 more hours i have made $100 back (games are sick action when this one idiot is on, $100 in 3 hours seems low but ill take it)

i get to my last ten minutes and decide to sit out and play last rounds


i get AA in hj with two very aggro guys behind me and the tard (my nemesis) from the 109s vs KK hand in the bb

i limp, co predictably makes it 4, the bb idiot predictably calls, i raise to 16.50 the co folds and the idiot predictably calls

flop 10 10 3r he checks i bet tiny 12 into 38ish pot

he shoves

i snap call

he has AK

I have AA

running spades pass the ****ing idiot more of my money

please let this be the last year i ever play poker, please please please

i lost almost $700 today, i would take back one of the hands i played


now i will log off and the idiot will give all the money he stole from me to the other regs

You really shouldn't play 1-2. Redic mistakes on every single hand and you talk about poker as if its 2007.
