Some style tips for Americans:
-When choosing a piece of clothing, try it on until you get the fit you like, just before you are going to pay go back and get 2 sizes smaller.
-Baskelball/baseball/hockey shirts should be left to 16 year olds.
-As should huge basket ball shorts.
-As should huge trainers(sneakers).

Seriously tho, it is quite important to most hot non-hooker Thai girls how you dress, more so in Bangkok.

You can go to H&M or Topman and buy a whole wardrobe for $150, why would you walk around looking like a slob.

It's actually considered rude to wear hats indoors, which you do. Google hat etiquette. Ever though people might find you rude? If something keeps happening at some point you have to ask if you're the problem.

lol hat etiquette i didnt realize going up to the mall was the same as attending a 1700s dinner party

again, if this happened anywhere else in the world sure i would think i was rude, it doesnt, it only happens in thailand

It's not about being a fashion snob it's just not looking threatening or unhygenic

Or 'as poor as possible', as you yourself described your deliberate strategy of dress sense in Cebu / Sihanoukville

Ok I am still with K2 on this. Those that have met me IRL know i dress well, am very presentable, well mannered etc.. Kinda like the opposite of K2

Lived in Manila for best part of 2 years, plus 10+ years in Thailand mainly between Pattaya and BKK, also visited most other places a good few times.

PI's are way way way more friendly and 'less rude' than thais, but a ****ing country mile.

Now we can go onto discuss the reasons 'why' ie PI more busto or whatever, but the 'reasons' do not justify the result.

Thats like saying, oh that girl is only sexy because she eats good food, works out and takes really good care of herself.

That guy can only run marathons because he trains for years at a time......you get the point, i hope, that is the 'why' doesn't matter!!

Yes there are many many lovely, polite thai people, but compared solely against flippers they dont come anywhere as close.

Even if K2 changed himself so he experienced less rudeness the fact would still remain.

Just wonder what a terrible human being you have to be if u find Thais to be rude and confrontational. Live here for 4 years now and I can't remember a single instance were this have happened to me.

^Srs run good.

Plus NOT the point. How many years have you lived in PI?

It's the fact thais, generally, are more rude and confrontational than flippers.

I don't think one person has said Thais are more friendly then people in the phils. The conversation was about thais being rude to k2d.I've literally never had a prob with them outside of a tuk tuk driver who I didn't agree on price before hand so I run good to.

I misunderstood then i thought this debacle was about thais vs Phils.

But as i said above even if he did do everything in his power not to experience as much rudeness they are still ruder than what he is use to in PI. So will still feel it more.

i think what i said has been twisted about 15 different ways

my thoughts are that thais are the rudest of any asian country i have been to and far ruder than filipinos

that doesnt mean all are rude, but you are far more likely to get rude/confrontational behavior from them then anywhere else i have been

poots is the most spot on

Interested in hearing reasons for someone to stay longterm in mainland china... So far everything I've heard sums up to: not even once mate. I'll stick to Taiwan

Only reason is hot girls.I imagine the girls are bitchy since Chinese think their ultimate race etc. Not gonna be staying there anytime soon but maybe one day I find myself there.

I used to work in China, that was a reason to stay there for an extended period of time.

It's been 5 years this month since I was last in China and I do not miss it one bit.

I would never stay in China for an extended period of time for any other reason than making money.

Says Thais are the rudest Asians... has never been outside South East Asia...

Has only spent long periods in the poorest spots, Cambo/Phils, where girls would snap call a chance to leave...

Except like 30 days in Indo and Vietnam (where you only got BJs). Indo pretty poor too. Vietnamese are way cold and mercenary, it's hard to get a sense of that over a blowjob though.

And Thailand <100 days if i recall

That's true but he keeps going on and on about rudeness as if it's above and beyond just the obvious differences between the two countries.

I wouldn't go to Hong Kong and moan about girls brushing me off, I'd have fully expected that and make more effort / adjustments. Like if I went on a downswing I'd work on my game in HEM/PT etc.

i find jspill such a fascinating case study, he ranks in the top 99.99% of all posters on any forum i have ever been on for being level headed........ until thailand becomes the discussion and then the tilt sets in

on the b l 0 g he seriously just tried to make the argument that thai visas are easier than phils visas because you can get a thai elite visa and never have to make visa runs or go to immigration

all you have to do is pay like $12,000 and make a 5 year commitment, but other then that it seems like a great deal!

^ It works out as $200/mo, I'd spend at least that much more per month on rent in Manila because condos are worse value. So yeah it would be a better deal $$ wise. In fact I think I'd need an extra $1k to have the same lifestyle in Manila as in BKK.

Do you see yourself going back to the US in the next 5 years?

Anyway stop trying to change the subject :P

So k2d gets the Line of a Thai girl on sukhumvit, outside freelancer bar Thermae, as she was walking in. Sends a few standard 'what you doing' messages back and forth. No rapport built up yet. After maybe 10 messages lifetime, he makes this 'joke':

Immediately messages me saying how rude her reply is, how this sums up his 2 months in Thailand perfectly, and how she's not a decent human being

Also posts this on a different forum as an example of 'how rude Thai girls are'. Doesn't see how his 'joke' could be seen as rude in anyway, says Pinays 'usually love this joke everytime'

Proceeds to get totally destroyed on that forum lol
