I've heard that comparison before.

Sounds like somebody's a Freedomain Radio fan.

When you set your life goals as high as that, even if you only make it halfway you're still miles ahead of everyone else.

Keep reaching for that dream bro

What happen when you have a lot of virtual currency that no body want to trade you for goods or actual money?

The market cap is $30 billion

http://www.marketwatch.com/story/dig...ion-2017-04-25

I love the comments here it basically sums up cryptocurrency, if you don't have some you moan about how it's a flash in the pan, asset bubble, not safe, not a good time to invest, yada yada, if you do have some you never shut up how about it's so amazing, like going vegan or doing crossfit

over / under entire market cap in 1 year ? I ll take over 50..
Augur up yet for some of those predictions ?

k2; if you go far enough, you ll see that what you call 'real' money actually never survived..
well the almighty dollar survived by losing over 95 percent of its purchasing power and hmm not sure about some countries that use 'real' bolivars..
you may feel you are late, but less than 5 percent of the world has a clue yet

If you are not going to have your own place to remain flexible, at least diversify your assets in some way or another

Actually been pretty cool to see k2d mature over time. Never thought I'd read about him making financial investments when I began reading his posts about banging whores in SE Asia years ago.

Has he actually made any investments though it's basically the same dante as years ago, asks 20 questions on a forum and people give helpful advice that he dismisses

Maybe I'm being a douche

All big talk now but when the owners of those money companies shut up shop and run off with everyone's money then what will you do?

who are these people? pretty much only you, and ive made it clear that i dont like fake internet money

as far as not making any investments yet go look at every graph for damn near every stock out there, they are all at their peak.... why not be patient, wait for the upcoming crash (since it hasn't happened for 6 years) and then buy everything for 20% cheaper?

no need to rush

Just go with an unmanaged index fund. Small gains but long-term payoff. Good for retirement.

That is unless you still have that 'I'm not going to make it past 30 (or was it 40) belief'.

Consistently beating the market long-term is essentially a full-time job and requires a lot of reading to get a handle on everything assuming you're doing this without the aid of a fiduciary.

ya my plan is to throw it all in the vanguard fund once the market crashes, then if 6 years after that crash it hasnt crashed again i might take it out, wait for the crash, and then buy it another time when the price is right

that seems like the best option, and if im late on selling it and it crashes again just hold on to it through the down times
