I want to hire someone in Rosarito or TJ for the following:
  1. Help me transfer my US PStars account to one I can use in Mexico for real cash. Maybe move one of your utilities to my name temporarily? I'd need to be able to use your address and all that to give to PStars
  2. Ship me cash on PStars. I give you cash in person, you ship me on PStars
  3. Host me for 4 weekends. I live in Las Vegas and would be coming down there on 3-day weekends.

Basically, I want to specialize in mixed games online but I've never played them extensively on PStars. So I want to make a smaller investment in trying the games for a few weeks before I make a full-blown move to Mexico. With the three steps above, it would enable me to try the games for a while and see if the entire move is for me.

Step #3 above is less important. If you help me get the account and funded, I can always stay in a hotel or something if you are unable to host me.

Please PM me if you can help me with this and we'll discuss payment.

Is there a good site other than craigslist for apartment shopping in TJ?

Yes definitely get off craigslist, I think those listings are "Americanized" with higher prices for the same places.

For my research I've been using vivanuncios and segundmano

But you will need to know Spanish for both of those. Even if you translate the page, the people you call will basically only speak Spanish.

I wrote my reply on my mobile and didn't include links - here they are:

http://www.vivanuncios.com.mx/

http://www.segundamano.mx/

I think vivanuncios is the better site of the two but they are both worth checking out

Hey guys I am interested in a joint living situation if anyone has a open room or if you are planning on coming to Baja/Rosa soon pm me. Looking at some condos and houses this week. Been traveling a lot solo and really get kinda bored/complacent living alone.

Also gonna start another small skype group for people looking to come to Rosa (not sure whats up with the old skype group) PM me to be added. I will do my best to answer any and all questions the best I can about being down here (although I am kinda noob myself)

I'm posting this here for the benefit of anyone else that might read this in the future. I just had a frustrating experience and maybe it will save other people the time.

PStars accepts Todito Cash, which is very easy to deposit with. The problem is actually getting the cards. The Todito Cash web site will tell you they are available at a variety of different places, including OXXO. They will even show you a map where you put in your address and list the OXXO that have them. I went to FOUR different OXXO before being told that they no longer carry them. They told me they haven't carried them in at least a year or so. I finally stumbled across a 7-11 that had them and the cards themselves say "Exclusively for Sale at 7-11". So I have no idea who the heck is in charge of the Todito Cash web site but it is not current at all! That was really frustrating to go to all those stores when they weren't available to begin with.

you can print your card from Toditocash webside
Create an account and print a card
the biggest problem of cash todito
It is that the store employees do not know (oxxo,7/11) about todito cash
You can also use paysafecard on 7/11

Todito Cash is only available at 7/11, nowhere else. That was the point of my post. The cards themselves say it too

Yeah and they really aren't. The cards say it on the front "Exclusively for sale at 7-11".

The Todito Cash web site is just plain wrong

So I have this lady friend in Mexico and she's been pretty good to me. I'm going to see her in December a couple of times and we always go out to nice places. Before my next trip, I want to send her some money so that she can get a new dress and maybe some things like make-up for our next night out. What do you guys think would be an appropriate amount to send her? If I want to make sure she can get an outfit - maybe not necessarily at something like Liverpool - what would make sense? I was thinking something in the range of 1000 MXN?

I am working on getting my new place together in Mexicali. I have found a house that has great potential. Great area, ridiculously cheap ($220!). The problem is that it's completely unfurnished. I have some ideas how to go about furnishing it but I'd like to put a whole budget for it together.

What do you guys think is a good estimate for furnishing a 2 br house in Mexico? Let's assume you don't do much with the second bedroom. But I would still need the 1 bedroom, living room and kitchen furnished. There is a stove and (I think) a fridge too. But I would still need to track down some kitchen stuff like pans, utensils, etc.

Any thoughts on how you would go about this? Just do everything at Wal Mart? Other places?
