Been a bit... I was curious if we have found the absolute best; & cheapest method for withdrawing off Stars? (Or MB?) I ask as I've created some cliff notes for the thread as a New Year's gift/contribution to the Rosarito community. While not perfect, they cover the overall gist of the last 95 pages... In my word doc, I have four pages of pure mess... (Regarding the banking attempts.) I figure rather than bog down the notes, post the best one or two methods that everyone has been using for withdrawals. (Unless you want the full history of all the attempts?) It's rough interpreting the banking practices; & being I'm not down there yet, you all will have free reign of say & edits, if you'd like to post as a sticky??? Thanks much!!! In responding, could you please make it clear as day, like explaining it to a child. I figure it'll be the most beneficial explanation to future forum viewers. (Not to mention, I want to explain it correctly & clear as day. Feel like beating my head into the desk at the moment.) If I'm not back on, a Very Wonderful, Happy, & Safe New Year's to All!!!

Trading someone stars for cold hard cash/bank xfer/etc = 0% vig (depending, the last month or so it seems common for 5-10% markup because everyone wants cash fast)

Stars ---> MB ---> Santander Peso account = 300-350 peso fee that doesn't seem to change significantly based on amount withdrawn. (3% or so on $1000, less than 1% on $4000)

Check in EUR seems ok as well, but then you're dealing with the mexican mail system. Contacting either stars or MB (they both have EUR check option) to see if they could mail to a US address would be clutch)

That's all I got, or know about. Some people have done stars ---> Santander by direct wire, and I think the fees were a bit higher.

I also ignore most currency conversion costs, since my bank in america waives any of those fees, and you can change pesos to dollars at the market rate anyways (or half a percent vig possibly)

Curious if anyone has done the check option or details regarding the direct wire option.

Also differences in fees in having a peso compared to US account
