Have to bring:

Passport
FMM
Bank Statement w/ $1400/mo avg balance (USA $20 extra for translation)
Gas/Electric Bill (doesn't need to have your name on it)
Five B&W Photos (can be taken nearby)

They write some letters, fill out some paperwork, 3-4 weeks later, you go back and get fingerprinted, pick up your FM-3 card.

Easy game. Hope it all works out like that.

I've been to a few of these agencies around town and they seem to all have the same process/timeframe/prices.

I use the USA mailbox place for mail, in that big hospital plaza on the beach side right north of festival plaza. They do FM-2/3 as well. seem like nice people and plenty of english.

I know it's cheaper and very easy to do it yourself, but not a bad deal to throw someone else a hundred bucks and let them deal with mexican immigration bureaucracy...

Hey guys, zurswierding and I just got our condo set up down here in Palacio Del Mar. I just want to say thanks to the contributors of this thread as I know it's helped us both in guiding us down here. Also Miguel was and I'm sure will continue to be an outstanding resource, hard to imagine what it would have been like without him showing us around the last couple days. Thanks again to everyone, I'm sure we'll find a way to run into a few of you guys soon. Cheers.

I don't know what bustuw is talking about. I don't think many people really need FM-3's, but in my very specific circumstance I think it will be very beneficial for multiple reasons. I don't really want to get into it on a public board though.

90% of people, I wouldn't even bother with it. I also wouldn't bother with an FMM like ever.

Pretty similar to my setup actually, except my laptop isn't on whatever you have yours mounted on. I have mine on top of a broken scale. The box that a new scale came in and then ontop of this tall Seinfeld DVD box set so it's at eye level. The dvd box is getting warn down though. What's that thing under the table is that something to help with your posture or something?

Is a single story residence downtown safe enough if it doesn't have security?

I won't have anything valuable besides my laptop. Should I bring that with me anytime I leave the apartment?

Are there any particularly good/bad areas downtown as far as safety?

lol. Did he ask you if you were going to follow his advice and what your address was? I just don't see how it wouldnt be worth taking the 3 seconds to lock your door regardless of how safe it was, time must be super precious for this guy.

The other is some kind of PCA satty.

I can't find details on how much value either is actually worth, and if they would be worth it. Shaniac maybe?

PCA info:

The PCA Fantasy Finals take place on Sundays at 10:00 ET & 20:00 ET, from November 7-December 12. The winner will be awarded a 2011 PCA prize package worth over $15,000. The rest of the players finishing in the top 2,000 in each Final will win a share of the added cash prize pool.

Not sure of the actual value, but we have till Dec 11th

If you deposit using "PCA100" you get a ticket to one of the weekly final freerolls (go to Events>10>Main events)...

It looks like each of those gives away 10 main event seats, but I am not totally sure since the prizepool doesn't reflect that.
