organizing a sport/deep sea fishing day. Prob get a yacht for either 8 or 14 people, depending on interest. $60-80 per person, not including the mass amounts of food, smoke, and drink. Alot of people are worried about seasickness but we're getting a yacht, not a small fish boat, so it shuoldn't be horrible. Let me know who's in...

Went to Santandar today, it was closed with this note:

"les informanos que el miercoles 2 de noviembre esta sucursal permanecera cerrada por dispocision oficial segun calendario bancario"

which according to google translate means:

"they inform us that on Wednesday November 2 this branch will remain closed for official dispocision according to banking calendar"

Does this mean it's just closed for one day I guess? Or closed for good starting today? Dispocision?

Disposición. It means a regulation/requirement.

The last part says "will remain closed due to official requirement according to the bank calendar."

In plain English it says:

On Wednesday, November 2nd, this branch will be closed for an official bank holiday.

Go back tomorrow basically. There's like a 1% chance I'm wrong, they closed up shop, and stole all your money. My spanish is kinda rusty.

You lucked out or maybe they've wised up. They specifically told me gas or electricity only.

I'm trying to remember which guy told me no. Might try and go ask the other one. I think it was the guy who sits farthest from the entrance.

I think Rafael told me the same thing, but I will definitely bring my Telnor bill in and give it another try.

Sup everyone. We got down here a couple days ago and are pretty happy with the area. We've spent the last couple days looking at places. We are currently pretty stoked on 2 units. One at Palaccio Del Mar and one at Riviera. If anyone living in either building has any info regarding their internet or just their general satisfaction with their condo it would be very much appreciated. Feel free to pm me. Thx in advance.

So, much thanks to Miguel, I got to use the "tourist pass" thing that allows you to use the "Servicios Medicos" lane, and it was the absolute stone cold nuts. I passed through the worst-looking wait yet (woulda been 90+ minutes) in probably 10 minutes. It basically brings you to the front of the line, maybe 20 cars away from the booth. Like too good to be true.

Anyway, Miguel was saying that local restaurants can give them out if you spend more than $70 USD, and if you're local they can track your spending and give you one when you have spent $70. Definitely worth asking about.

Friday night strip club in Tijuana. Alot of first timers on this trip, should be an amazing night as always. Get in touch with someone if you wanna join. We were also talking about having dinner in Tijuana as well, there's way more nice restaurants up there and would be a cool change of scenery anyways

Saturday we gotta discuss, but quadding in afternoon? Maybe 1-2pm or so?

If Miguel knows or anyone living down there would be able to stop by the sand dunes and ask sometime, but I believe the place is open on weekends, no clue about rental prices for ATVs but I'd guess $30 or so?

Surprisingly, people aren't posting their grind rigs... is everyone just using a laptop?

Here is my grind station:

17 inch MBP and Dell 30 incher. Considering buying 2 Apple 27 inch monitors and have a 3 monitor setup going, but not really much room though. Would look pretty awesome imho.

Anyone have any recommendations for agencies to help with an FM-3?

It is of the utmost importance that I get it all taken care of within the next month or so. I am currently outside of Mexico so I'd like to get all paperwork I need taken care of now so an agency I can email that will respond quickly would be great.

Google get me:

http://www.jorgecuadros.com/fm3_first.php

Called them up. Here's the deal.

$203

Have to bring:

Passport
FMM
Bank Statement w/ $1400/mo avg balance (USA $20 extra for translation)
Gas/Electric Bill (doesn't need to have your name on it)
Five B&W Photos (can be taken nearby)

They write some letters, fill out some paperwork, 3-4 weeks later, you go back and get fingerprinted, pick up your FM-3 card.

Easy game. Hope it all works out like that.
