1 / Benito Juarez is the free road. It is the road that runs through downtown Rosarito/Mexicali and up north through Tijuana. You want to use this to get around downtown, but not to get back to the border.

1D is the toll road that runs from Tijuana to Rosarito and is defintiely the way to go for like $3, safer/better maintained roads, and the green angels to save your ass if **** goes wrong.

1D and 1 cross each other at the northern tip of Rosarito (technically in Mexicali) and 1 runs closer to the coast. South of Rosarito, they run parallel to each other, and I haven't spent much time there using them, but I'd imagine you'd want to just pay to use 1D for anything that isn't very local travel.

---------

It's been a long time since I've been to Rosarito, but I'll try to fashion up some Google Map with all the things labeled. It's kinda sad they have nothing labeled by default.

For now, this is where Walmart is located. They are open 8am-11pm. Their number is 613 92 44 al 54. To get there take Benito Juarez / 1 north, turn left at Melchor Ocampo (which is just after you see the Office Depot on your left), then immediately turn right into the shopping complex. It's at the north end.

Does anyone down here have a copy of Windows 7 64bit??? I just bought a Mac and their OS is tilting the **** out of me. Mucho gracias if anyone can help.........

I drove to Walmart today and saw the HSBC, damn it's tiny; probably why I missed it tbh. Is there anywhere to get a cheapo cellphone? I need it for PokerStars; does anyone know if a prepaid cell would work?

Yeah prepaid cell phone works. Go to any OXXO convenient store and they have prepaid phone for like 15-20 bucks with some minutes loaded. Thats all you need.

I don't think a prepaid cell works for the "pstars phone call". But you probably have a better relationship with pstars than I do, so it might be o.k. I do know that a telnor utility contract has been the most important doc. that I have had. Just grab a telnor landline if you can.

yeah they wanted a land line, anyway glad you found the walmart even with my ridiculous directions lol

WOW. Well since multicable supposely changed their IP( I also did a few checks myself) I was allowed to play on stars on it without getting any popups saying I wasn't allowed. I also emailed stars to ask them if my current IP was Mexican and they said it was. Well I woke up today saying my account has been frozen for logging in from a US IP.....

Just a warning to anyone who has multicable.

How have people been paying rent? (cash, check, usd, pesos)? How did you do it when you first signed the lease?

Hi,

Paying the rent is going to depend on your landlord. I can help you guys to relocate in Rosarito.

If you already have ATT phone, you can just buy a "Telcel" sim card and keep on using your phone.

One more thing if Pokerstars would not accept a cel phone (because the dial format is different from a land line) you can use a cel phone like mine 52-664-321-7461. When you are dialing to a cel phone from the US they have to add a "1" exp: 52-1-664-........

If you have more question fell free to call or email.

We are required to pay US cash. I think most places are cash or check.

it's called USA media. They paint the picture they want the USA to believe. Texas border has most of the issues and even those are not tourist related. It is a drug gang going after another one. the good news is the USA media has made it hella cheap to live on the beach!
