I know people who have gotten back into the US with literally 0 forms of ID

Cheers=Restaurant/bar that has tonsss of hot girls at it all the time (esp ladies night and weekends) https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cheer...ll/94080016179

Clasico=Nightclub at the Grand Hotel http://www.directoriodetj.com/classico-tijuana.html

Las Pulgas: Disco club http://www.laspulgas.info/tijuana/

All of these places have dress codes, Clasico's more nitty than others afaik. There's many other spots to go to, these are just the 3 that are most popular among the TJ partying group/s

larissa, pretty sure they changed the laws that not just anybody can cross the border anymore. need to have a passport. 98% of americans dont have 1
you're technically supposed to have a passport to enter. however they will not deny an US citizen to reenter the US. if you are questionable, they may secondary you to ask more questions to determine who you are.

also since they passed the passport law several years ago they possibly could fine you for not having one, but I have NEVER heard of any customs agents ever doing that, but just keep in mind they could.

I do know of a recent case where an American trying to get back without passport (only license) was sent to secondary inspection (of course) but unfortunately there he found out that the FBI was looking for a homonym and he was arrested and treated like Sh..... by the border agents. He was in a small prison cell for more than 18 hours (without communication) until the double verification of fingerprints came back from the mother ship in Virginia.

In my opinion there are risks that you should never take, special if the passport office in SD can issue one the same day (If needed).

Once you fill out the fm2/fm3 paperwork, are you instantly eligible to open up a Mexican bank account, or do you have to wait out the process? I am trying to get family set up with sportsbook accounts down here, and hopefully won't have to wait 4-6 weeks to get their bank accounts going? Thanks.

That helped a little I guess I never went quite north enough in my previous searches. Hard to miss if you drive down the right road. Nice people in there, thought I'd give them a plug. My mix fruit smoothie and fish was great!

I agree, he helped me get setup last week, definitely knew what he was doing and didn't try to push me into anything.

Hello. I am getting a place in Rosarito starting Sept 1. I want to get my PS account up and running in time for WCOOP Sept 8. Any advice on quickest way to get the account verified as non-US and quickest/cheapest way to get money in there?

wynnkid, when you got your sentri, did they ask you why you were going to mexico? and if so, did you tell them you were going there to play poker? or did you say something else? i'm applying for mine now, and want to make sure it goes smoothly. thanks.

I was wondering if an internet bill would be considered a utility bill as proof of residency? I live in San Diego currently but I plan on heading down to Rosarito for a good chunk of winter and want to be setup prior to me heading down there. If someone could help me by allowing me to use their address and I'll just have a 2nd internet line at their place that I pay for just to establish the acct.

Also, does anyone know the minimum amount of time you must sign a contract with the utility bill companies? i.e. internet

Review of the Rosarito Remax and one of their real estate agents: Jose Lopez. (Stay very far away)

Last September me and two other poker players rented a unit at Las Olas Grand from Jose Lopez through the Remax in Rosarito. During our tenancy we had virtually no interaction with Jose Lopez as he was rarely in the Remax office when our rent was due. With one exception we paid our rent to different employees in the Remax office. The day our lease was up and we were scheduled to move out was no different. Jose Lopez was not in the Remax office and we were told that he would not be there that day. We were instructed to leave our keys and told that our security deposit could be wired to the USA after the unit was inspected.

After a week went by one of our roommates went to the Remax office to see what was going on as they had yet to contact us. Jose Lopez told our roommate that we had broken the tv and that paintings were missing from the walls. Neither of these allegations were true and Jose Lopez later retracted both charges but they are indicative of how he operates. In the 3 months it took to receive part of our deposit back Jose Lopez fabricated other absurd claims on virtually every occasion I spoke with him. From towels he claimed were missing, when we actually left some of our own towels behind, to tv remotes that were never included with the unit and bills that we had already paid. Jose Lopez seemed intent on fabricating enough charges so as to steal our entire deposit. Even after Jose Lopez admitted in email that he owed us money from our deposit he continued to attempt to fabricate new charges months after we had already moved out and while he was in violation of our lease which allowed him 21 days to return our deposit.

Another real estate agent in Rosarito heard about the issues we were having with Jose Lopez and spoke with the owner of the Remax and I am not sure we would have received any of our deposit back without his help. Eventually we received part of our deposit back over 3 months after we had moved out. If any of you are currently renting from Jose Lopez or this Remax I wish you good luck in getting your deposit back and I would advise you to not pay them last months rent. This agency does not abide by their own lease agreements so neither should any of you.

Cliffs:
Rented a unit from Jose Lopez/Rosarito Remax
Upon moving out Jose Lopez continuously fabricates charges against our deposit
Jose Lopez violates our lease and keeps our deposit for more than the 21 days allowed by the lease
Another real estate agent in Rosarito pressures the Remax to return our deposit
3 months after we move out we receive part of our deposit back

Pretty sure any bill with your name and a Mexican address on it will be fine. Pokerstars doesnt make a big deal out of it. You should be up and running the same day you scan/email the bill to them

Get a bill for something with your address in Mexico and your name on it. Or better yet, if you have the lease or anything like that worked out just use that, send it to them now. Scan/email it to pokerstars, should be up and running same day. Easiest way to get money is have someone transfer it to you. Go to Player to player transfer page or check back a few pages in this thread, people are offering deals and I think actually giving you a little juice for buying their pokerstars money. If you cant work it out with someone there is always Todito Cash which can be bought at 711's down here and I think they can load like up to $600 or so on each one of those but you will be losing some like 5% doing it that way.

I second putting J Lo (Jose Lopez) on your avoid list. He is very unprofessional lazy and dishonest. My entire experiences with Remax were horrible.

Miguel Sedano, on the other hand, is genuine, honest, and an incredible resource for anyone considering getting started in the Rosarito area.
