Do any of the smaller sites let you transfer out $1000's without going through a verification process? I will open an account and use whoever suggest it as a sign up reference if you can answer, thanks.
Huh, didn't know that, thanks for the info.

Anyone know what mex-insur insurance is and whether we need it? We are driving accross the border and our landlord said that it was something we needed to buy (from a drive through, she says it is 20$/day).

Thanks.

Anyone need a workout partner. Just arrived and renting out of home near Calafia. Usually workout 4-5 days per week for about 70-90 min. Don't belong to any gyms here yet but hoping to find someone living at Hotel with gym access. LMK

Thanks

If you're driving in Mexico, you're required to have Mexican car insurance. Get pulled over without it and you might go to jail. You can buy it online and print your policy out. I've read there's a place right across the border you can buy it also. I don't know how long you'll be in Mexico, but my year-long policy was <$200.

Could someone clear up the below for me please:

Is Anytime Fitness close by to the Walmart that is next to the beach? The Walmart just off the highway/road Escenica Ensenada-Tijuana?

Thanks!

Walmart is in a mall right off the "rosarito norte" exit of the highway. Anytime fitness is also in the mall.

Thanks Larissa! Not great with the geography of Rosarito... Are both Anytime Fitness and Walmart based in/nearby Puerto Nuevo/Bobby's by the sea?

Edit: If not could anyone recommend any good condos nearby Walmart/Anytime Fitness? Thank you in advance

No, walmart is a ways from bobbys and puerto nuevo. If you're looking for something near there you would want a downtown condo in one of these buildings: Oceana, La Jolla de Rosarito, or Riviera. Walmart is as north as you can get in rosarito, whereas Bobby's / Puerto Nuevo is South of town 15ish minutes.

It's also good to note that any condo you get will be driving distance from walmart / the mall so if you don't have a car you'll be cabbing it no matter where your condo is.

Likely coming down there at beginning of June, looking for a room for 3-6 months. Someplace reasonably nice with secure parking, but not overly expensive. Either downtown or by the beach would be ok.

Let me know if you have anything available.

Someone down here should organize a $20-40 (1k$ max bi) or higher live mixed (8) game for those wanting to sharpen their live poker skills as well as their alternate games for the WSOP. Do such games exist or would there be no interest? Perhaps the logisitics or legality of it would be an issue but just a thought to see if one already exist or there might be interest?

Not even sure how much I will be here myself since I'm still deciding whether or not to go to vegas for the summer. Pm me if interested.

Idk but you could just use a VPN, they are pretty cheap, some are free.

If Mexico banned online poker and the sites complied would you guys use a VPN to get around this? Would be difficult since you would have to send in new documents...

Personally I would go to Belize or one of the carribean islands, which I may do eventually regardless of any possible law changes.

that's a bad time to come because rents are 2.5 x more in July an August compared to the rest of the year.

I'm still in LA, but i'm dead set on starting up my pokerstars grind again in jan '14. As of now, i'll be moving to Rosarito. But this potential new bill is forcing me to consider a backup plan to mexico, so that i can relocate again the day this bill passes (if it passes). Besides Mexico, where would be the best/most convenient place to play online?

I was told by a realtor down here. That the bill will take a very long time to even get voted on. He said at least a year or 2 if not more and that once it got voted on and if it passed it would take another year to set up. Hes not an expert on it but thats what I was told by him.

Whether he would misrepresent or not, he has a pretty big financial interest in that story being true if rentals to poker players are part of his business.
