Who can we talk to?

where do we go from here?
I have spoken with a few of the reps from PokerStars. They know about the IP situation, but their hands are tied. I can't really blame them tbh; their agreement with the DOJ was very clear; they would basically be risking the company to let a few players play. Since the IP address is in the US, they be breaking their agreement with the DOJ by allowing them to play.

A solution isn't coming from Star's end. Only real options are moving to another part of Rosarito that has an ISP with a Mexican IP address or forcing changes with the current ISP provider.

I'm moving to Mexico to play on Stars... it pretty simple for an American to play on Euro sites and receive cash outs, but their software is terrible and there aren't a lot of PLO games running. What are the ISP that provide a Mexican IP address??????

Telnor is dsl with a mexican ip. The local cable internet provider broadcasts from a US ip. Las Olas looks great, but there are other places that are similar and allow Telnor.

I've been doin research on movin down to Rosarito for a couple days now and I just came across this thread and I'm way stoked now. I was plannin on Costa Rica but I live in San Diego so Rosarito is a no brainer. I should be down there Nov. 1st at the latest. I was just plannin on gettin a place down there by myself and grindin all the time, but it sounds like there's a chill crew down there to surf, party, smoke, blow stuff up with fireworks and generally reek havoc with. Now I just have to cross my fingers that my roll doesn't get seized by the gov before I can get out of dodge.

If someone flew into San Diego, what's the most cost effective way to get to Rosarito? The only times I've ever been there was to drive, but pretend I don't have a car. Anyone?

Take a cab to the border, walk across the border and take another cab to Rosarito. Be selective of your Mexican cab driver however. I think mine was drunk (in the a.m.) and it was a very scary ride.

You could also take a cab in SD to the closest trolley station and take the trolley to the border. It would save you $30 or $40 but also take 30 or 40 min longer.

Man I have to get the internet issue worked out in Las Olas Grand I love the place and don't want to change my direction. Is there no way to get the DSL. How do we find out if they are really switching to the Mexican IP. Any thoughts? Just h8 to loose the place it took me months to find!

Sigh!

Ya I've actually parked at the border and cabbed it to Rosarito before. Drove all the way to Rosarito mostly though. Is it still $20-25 for a cab from border to Rosarito? Cab from San Diego airport to border (**** it's farther than I thought).

Anyone that has any places open, preferably on the cheaper end of things, PM me. Looking for a room I can just move into with either a Mexican ISP or good connection for an air card. Thanks.

My advice: Don't count of the ISP doing ****. Sucks you got screwed by this because I wouldn't have thought to check for it myself but being so close to the border I guess it makes sense. Good warning to others to check the internet before locking down a place.

Also, how are people whose names aren't on the lease getting back onto Stars? What kind of documentation are they requiring and how are you getting it?

I love all sports.

I Wrestled in college, but I am way out of shape now as I have been a lazy SOB for a long time now. With the awesome gym/courts there I plan to rededicate myself and work out daily. The gym over looking the ocean certainly looks inviting.

Is Las Olas Grand as awesome as it looks? Is there any restaurants, or cool spots close/walking distance?

Can someone summarize the internet situation? Which provider uses a Mexican IP and which doesn't?

boliver, I am planning on moving to tijuana next week, but i'm moving in with my aunt/cousins. I paid them to construct an extra room in the house for me, but they will not be charging me rent(sweet deal, I know). Would it be possible to get my stars account back if I will obviously not have a lease agreement and the utilities will not be under my name? The only things I think I could provide would be a land phone line and a bank account, as well as a visitors visa if they require it. Thanks for the input.

pardon the ignorance, i was under the assumption that lease agreements were for people that were going to pay some kind of rent. i hope then that the home phone line will serve as the utility bill for ps.
