+1 that driving isn't that bad, it's just a tad stressful when you first cross to make sure you can read all the signage and make that first proper exit. After the 2nd or 3rd time, it's no problema.
Rosarito/Ensenada/Cuota are your 3 keywords. Not every sign for your exits will have all 3, but they'll have at least 1 or 2. You can pay your $2.40 (or whatever it is) toll with USD.
