why not point us in the direction of better priced ones?

Anybody familiar with Costa Bella complex?

*Any complex fees. How is the location. Says 30min to the border, just want to make sure this is correct. One of my main attractions to this area is the proximity to SD/US.

lol, sure. I'll get on that for you.

As a local, I just know I've paid far less when I've had the need for rented transportation or housekeeping or construction. Its all good that Miguel prices in a little something extra, he needs to get paid. However, I hope he's also telling you there is a premium being paid.

as for all the banter about whether miguel is the nuts or someone else is or w/e, its all kinda silly imo. I'm sure miguel has been helpful to many who wanted to come down here and do as lil work as possible. For this assistance, you pay a premium. Especially if you wanted a place locked up before you got here....For many, that premium is worth it. Ive always told most people that if you have the time to look around and are not afraid to take it by the horns, you could get a much better deal on rent, security deposit, etc..if you do it on your own. When you go thru a rental agent in mexico, they usually get you in two ways. 1) a lot of them charge a finding fee for finding you the property. 2) a lot of them bake a higher price into your monthly rent which is split between the landlord and the rental agent. Most people the first time they come down here will use a rental agent...but the next time they go and look for a place, most will do it on their own. There are many alternatives tho...Rosarito is not the only option. I mean for some of the prices you guys pay, you could have a 7 bedroom mansion in the more ritzy areas of TJ that would rival places you've seen on MTV Cribs. FWIW, the last 3 places I've lived in down here I found on my own, and was able to negotiate things that you would never think were possible. But I understand why for the first time, many of you used a rental agent, and immediately settled on Rosarito..
agreed

Anyone have any recommendations that would accommodate my situation?
miguel sedano seems to be the person the majority of people use on here.

^ 1br from miguel might be tough depending on how tight your budget is. Never heard back from him with the second batch of places I sent him up to $600+ utils for 1br. Reconsidered mexico and didn't bother calling again since $700+ for a small 1br in rosarito is silly and no habla myself to find realistic prices.

He suggested one I liked but said the landlord wanted 1yr lease when I only wanted 6mo. As soon as I agreed to be ok with 1yr it was unavailable some 2 hours later. Think he was baiting my range.

No disrespect to Miguel at all.

Looking to move to Rosarito or Playa del carmen this december, hoping to sign a lease somewhere for 6 months, or find an open room with someone already down there. If anyone knows of a room opening or has any interest in renting a 2/3/4/5 br place with me send me a PM. I'm 25, play 9m SNGs and looking forward to getting back on stars.

I have a house located in Quinta Del Mar "central rosarito" I am looking to try something different looking to rent out to a few grinders on a month to month or 3 month basis..

Figure this will allow people time to move down and get situated without having a long term commitment. Also I would like the house back for July and August so short term renters only. Rent will include 1 DSL line, Electric in the price. only pay water of 300-400 pesos per month.
