There's a Costco there, right? The US Costco carries a clone. Never sat in it though.

I'm building a Rosarito wiki through google sites.

If you want to help or provide info to make it easier for me, shoot me a PM.

I'm going to compress a lot of the info from the huge post here and go from there I guess

Anybody have 2 rooms open? I'm looking to move sometime late Dec. Early Jan. till I'd say sometime after SCOOP for around 300-400$ a month/per. I know this could be a little difficult as I would like to be stayin with him, but I'm sure we can work something out. Hoping to stay in Downtown Rosarito. Please post itt or shoot me a PM.

I heard Miguel is a very good, but just not sure on rates and if he can help us w 2-3bdr place. Lot of questions that I know have been answered but seem like are a person to person basis at times.

Healthy Back Store in La Jolla (California) Sells them but does not ship to Mexico.

I would recommend to go there directly (8715 Villa La Jolla Dr., #A-1A
La Jolla, CA 92037 Tel: 858 558 2225) buy it, take it out of the box, put it in the trunk of your car and drive back to Rosarito; you would not have any problem with customs because for them is just a chair (they don't need to know the value).

If you are not in the mood to do all this PM me once you are down here and I will give you the info of a Guy that brings furniture from San Diego to Baja for living.

In general try to avoid Mexican mail because is super slow (30 days average) and not very safe.

Hey guys, I need a little advice here. I currently live in SD and might be looking for a place in Rosarito in the coming months. The thing is for various reasons (work and GF), I would be commuting between SD And Rosarito quite often and would only want to stay down in Mexico like 6-8 nights each month. I still need to get a passport so I'm at least a few weeks away, but I thought I'd start my research now. I'm wondering if anyone down there rents out their couches or spare rooms for people in my situation? I basically would just need an address to set up a bank account, an internet connection, and a place to sleep (I'll sleep on the floor if I have to).

Pre BF I primarily played mid-stakes MTTs (username mapunk on FTP and Stars - fyi, I lost my old 2p2 account under the same name due to the hacking that occurred a few months ago). As stated earlier, schedule permitting I'd probably come down a few times per month for 2-3 days at a time. I don't really have many references around the 2p2 community, but do have some poker friends that will vouch for me and used to be semi-active on p5's. Any advice would be really helpful.

you need lease agreement with your name on it

plus bank statement with your name on it + the address on the lease agreement.

to open bank account i believe you need a utility bill (doesnt have to have your name) with the address on the lease agreement listed. this i didnt need to show to pokerstars

Ok thank you for your help. To follow up that question, how do people rent rooms from others? There name is obviously not on the lease to begin with. I guess you can make a secondary sub-leaser agreement

we had individual leases made for each person renting. so if someone new joined, just have the realtor make a new lease.

we knew in advance which people were coming so I guess that doesn't wholly answer your question.

I have a dog at calafia, they have a beach and a dog run where there are occasionally other dogs for him to play with. Mexico is very dog friendly in general though.

I currently do this for a guy. So it is possible someone else would.

Not sure what other people would charge, but surely there are more people like me that have a room unused, but don't want a fulltime roommate.

Just need to ask here once you are 100% ready, and someone will probably take you up, depending how much you are spending and how well you all get along etc.

Also depending on your financial situation, you might be able to get a place cheap enough for you to have your own spot.

Went to Ollie's Pizza last night for the first time and the pizza is surprisingly really really good. Not to get your expectations up, but damn.

I've been to Pizzaria Bianco (rated best pizza in US) and Ollie's pizzas are the only thing I've had that compares to that style

Kinda like this

I'm looking to move down in November with my girlfriend and our 2 pets (1 dog 1 cat). We want to get a 1 bedroom place in a nice area (closer to the beach the better) on a very tight budget, and I don't know where to even start looking.

Anyone have any recommendations that would accommodate my situation?

Don't be snarky Miguel. Few people from Chula Vista would say they were from Chula Juana. Its not a term of endearment.

Beyond the ridiculously priced maids ($30/day) and other services priced to Americans, this is a great thread. Good luck and welcome to Baja!
