Had a great time at Hong Kong last night with Paul from TJ and some of his friends, that's obviously gonna be a regular event!
I'm usually down to grab some lobster in puerto nuevo, seafood in popotla, go surf, smoke, skate, make snowboard trips, light off a bunch of fireworks, rent ATVs/horses/jetskis, skydive, scuba, snorkel, fish, catch lobster, party in TJ, go to TJ strip clubs, party in rosarito, organize trips (deep sea fishing, boat to a random island, paragliding, travel around Mexico). Oh I hear windsurfing is good down here, that could be dope. If you ever wanna do cool **** relating to the following please hit me up, because I want in!!

Anyone that knows about cliff-diving around here i'd be stoked to find some good spots!

I have followed your threads Boliver and you make the move sound very interesting. I have been reviewing a couple rental websites like the baja123.com and I give you an a+ on the bang you got for your buck! That's allot of space for $1,380

I am about 80% going to rent down there to grind myself, but I'm realistically 2 months from being in a position to make the move. I'm in Az so its not to major distance wise.

I am hoping you will be able to help a brother with some advice along the way so I can also maximize my Rosarito beach grind experience. (I have never been there)

I hope we can kick back and blaze on the beach sometime in the future! Thanks for the insight in the other threads and gl to you and your roommates! May you run as pure as snow!

how many guys that are there have their cars? Just wondering if it would be a problem to have my car there with us plates on it long term.

thanks bust, yea I feel like we got a pretty decent spot, and while I could have maybe negotiated a couple hundred bucks off the rent, max...it wasn't worth it, since I talk to my realtor, who talks to the listing agent, who talks to this other guy in the office, who talks to the owner's agent, who talks to the owner. Saving a few days quibbling over $30-50 each per month wasn't worth it to me at the time, and they may not have budged anyways. I'd def stoked on the place, and every person that has come over is pretty hyped on it as well.

nos vemos en octubre realtalk.

3 of us will have cars here, although I think we only technically get 2 parking spots. I was told yesterday that it's a good idea to give the guards $20/mo for them to look out for us though, and I'm sure for an extra couple bucks we can get another spot as well, there's plenty of room. you are a US citizen, you have to have US plates. Pretty sure it's illegal for you to drive a car with Mexi plates or for a local to drive your car. Just what I was told yesterday though...but why are your plates an issue regardless?
Driving down here is fine, although the roads can put a beating on your car. I pretty much drive double whatever the speed limit is and haven't really been concerned about police at all.

fwiw alot of people have told me that in a month, 2 months they're moving here. Ppl waiting for their leases to expire in canada, getting organized in US, waiting for FTP funds, etc. Expect another couple rounds of exodus by the end of the year.

For those of you who have moved, or have visited Rosarito considering a move could you do me and the others who are interested in making the move a huge favor? Could you list the top 5 Condo complexes in Rosarito beach? This will help us line up places prior to going down there. The requirements are listed below.

1. Year Built (prefer newer construction)
2. The beach its on/curb appeal/view/location
3. Pool's and jacuzzies on property
4. Other Amenities (gym, lobby, staff, bball/tennis courts, grounds, concierge etc.)
5. American people/english speaking people/american safety and comfort

Please list what you feel are the top condo's based on the criteria.

Any specifics or added info about the place and its amenities/activities would be imensly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Sorry if this has already been asked elsewhere but why did you choose Rosarito over Cabo or Play Del Carmen?

I can't seem to find any long term rental info for Playa Del Carmen anywhere. I can't even find any info on the area at all. I been leaning towards Rosarito, but would like to research Play Del Carmen before making a decision.

Location. I explained more earlier in the thread, but Cabo isn't even mexico, it's a resort town with basically american prices or even more expensive from what I hear. PDC is far away, and I heard kinda dirty as well? I don't know much about PDC though. Puerto Vallarta is prob where I would move in Mexico if location didn't matter to me. Snowboarding is only like 3 hours away, and friends/family all live in LA as well, plus just being able to drive 30 minutes and be back in America if we ever feel the need.

Not sure what is new and not. The newer buildings around here seem super gnarly, like 100% resorts with pools, jacuzzis, restuarants...way too nice for me basically. Las Olas grand and Las Olas Mar y sol are 2 new buildings. From your requirements it sounds like that's where you want to be, and even las gaviotas may not be nice enough for you. This guy jake (Imtheocean) made a youtube video about his place, and something like that sounds like it'd be good for you. It was a bit out of our price range anyways, but a nice place.

More power too you if ur ballin like that, those places DEF won't let you down. Calafia I hear is pretty nice as well. fwiw though I hope u want a really nice place due to just wanting something that sick and not for safety reasons. Every condo has 24 hour security and everyone is real chill anyways. We walked to 7-11 at like 3am last night.

How much are you trying to spend here?

A house in town (not beach) you can get for like $500/mo.

A nice 3 bedroom condo on the beach around 1k.

super sick insane place with people waiting on you hand and foot prob like 2k/mo for 2 bedroom. and from what it sounds like this is more what ur looking for? Private cabanas with their own personal jacuzzi to use for free, multiple infinity pools, gym and sauna literally like 10 feet from the water and insanely modern. I kinda hope ur gonna move into something extremely sick like that, cuz we'll defffff be comin over to kick it

Prices aren't set in stone, obv...it is mexico, just giving you a rough idea.

haha i did promise pics...ehhh I posted a link somewhere in here, u can check it out on baja123 or look at my fb sometime, I put pictures there...didnt wanna mess with making a photobucket account or however u put pics on 2p2.

How much are you paying OD...around 8 or 9 hundies? I think you have a very similar place to scott.

Smoke situation is: ehhh skype me if u wanna know.
On the beach today the first guy asked us - You want weed, girls, oxycodon?? haha, I was impressed that they've added Rx drugs to their repertoire. Probably tons of schwag U can get anytime, I'm sure you can find the right people that have decent smoke locally, but as my buddy JD puts it you gotta "bring sand to the desert." Medical cards are the easiest things ever to get, and we all have tons of connects in so-cal as well. I'm hoping to just grab a half-pack every few months and that should be plenty for a few of us.

I'm not a baller type, but am looking to sacrifice square footage for a high amenity/high gloss building.

I still think your deal was so awesome/unique because a 4 bedroom in a nice condo for that $$ just doesn't exist.

Lol i went for a walk today on the beach and just kept getting pestered to buy their bracelets, jewelry, sunglasses etc. No womenz although prostitution is legal here lol.

Also got some Nachos at papas and beer. It was decent. Not as many people on the beach as I expected. It's actually kinda cold today so maybe thats why.

oh, as far as a list of most baller to just normal baller:

Las Olas (grand, and then Mar y Sol) (Skyrise)
Las Ventanas (Condo complex)
Las Gaviotas (Condo complex)

There's a few buildings that seem similar, although I haven't looked into them. La Jolla Del Mar seems nice, but CafeNoir lives there and doesn't like it, maybe talk to him. Calafia is another, OverDose lives in La Jolla de rosarito and likes it. Marena and Las Palmas are others. These are all skyrises.

Condo complexes are las ventanas, las gaviotas, mission viejo, la paloma... many many more.

If you just want to book something online that's great, you can pretty much tell how sick all the places are from the price. Good to ask about location though, if that matters to you. Obviously coming here directly and looking on your own you'll have access to probably 10 other complexes that aren't listed online from what I can tell.

There's prob 10 skyrise condo's that are similar, and another 10 condominium complexes that are similar.
