Hi I plan on playing in austin texas/ Miami for a few months live poker .

I was wondering what is the app most used for renting in the U.S in general? which place do you think is decent enough to live at? neighberhood ? I'm traveling byself

also if you lived in any of those places including Last vegas I would love to hear about it in here or in private.

i'm 27 years old come from a very far away country. played poker for around 10 years recreationally(not main source of income ) / +2 months of being a tournament pro

I would love to be in a place where it's not that far from a night life and things of the measure but also play around 5-6 times a week.

also if you could recommend me a place out of Miami/Texas/Las vegas and why would be very appreciated.

Here is what I can offer:

Based on what you described, Miami area (check Fort Lauderdale) is probably nicest option. Outside of Vegas, Florida is the best place in the US for tournament poker. There is always a series going on, and multiple WSOP circuit stops and WPT's every year within driving distance of Miami. Also fantastic night life and beaches in Florida.

I am in Louisiana and play a lot in Texas. It is good as well, but it is more of a cash game state than tournaments.

I have never lived in Vegas, but I would find it really hard to live there for a long period of time. Summers are brutally hot, and there are lots of "distractions" that can really make it tough mentally.
