Yah, I would probably say Zona Romántica is one of the best neighborhoods for food in the world, as crazy as it sounds. Maybe not in terms of variety, as it's understandably very seafood heavy, and you won't find that many world cuisines, but if you're going for a month, almost every meal will be excellent and very cheap too.

That being said, after 6 months living there, I was a bit sick of shrimp and fish, and happy to move back to CDMX and eat excellent Korean, Japanese, etc.

I was just living in PV for over a year! You guys based in CDMX? I just arrived to mexico city yesterday...would be down to meet up for a coffee or something.

If anyone needs any intel on PV let me know. For games, the only place is winclub by the airport. I can give you a host # and you can ask if the game has started.

Hey not sure if you sorted this out but I know that in other places in Mexico you don't need a licence to buy a car/motorbike but you will need one to drive. I have been pulled over driving in Mexico a few times and definitely they ask for your licence.

Hi, sorry for late reply...
Game is not bad, but I was expecting to play against a lot of tourist as there was a high season and saw them all over the city, but in reality I was playing mostly against locals.
And also the city is quite boring after a month, a lot of older people from US and Canada.
I think better ratio for poker/ fun could be in bigger cities like Guadalajara or Mexico City, unless you are gay - because Vallarta is capital of LGBTI in Mexico I think.
